He has dedicated Senator Royce West his life to public service. Ambassador Kirk is the former United Del and Cammy Williams States Trade Representative (USTR). He was a member of President Obama’s Cabinet and served as the President's principal trade advisor, BOARD OF DIRECTORS negotiator, and spokesperson on trade issues. Jim Hine, Chair Dazzie McKelvy, Secretary Ron Kirk served two terms as the first African-American mayor of , and earned a reputation for bringing together diverse coalitions Linda Aaker to get things done. Prior to becoming mayor, he served as Texas Flora Brewer Secretary of State under Governor . Ron Kirk is currently David Chappell practicing law at the Dallas firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and was John-Michael Cortez previously a partner at Vinson & Elkins, LLP. He was named one of John Hildreth "The 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America" by The National William P. Hobby Law Journal in 2008 and one of the nation’s top government relations Ronald Lewis lawyers by The Best Lawyers in America® (2007-2009).
