5-6 April 2018 Jurien Bay Sport & Recreation Centre WELCOME TO Wheatbelt Conference |18 Wheatbelt Conference 18 will focus on “Small Towns - BIG Dreams: Transitioning Regional Economies”, with delegates afforded the opportunity to develop ideas in this arena. Our keynote speaker, Barry Urquhart, is enthusiastic in assisting here. The organisers would like to thank the organisations who have made Wheatbelt Conference 18 possible - local governments, commercial organisations, State Government agencies, sponsors, speakers and supporters, and the host local government (Shire of Dandaragan). We look forward to welcoming you to Wheatbelt Conference 18. Venue The Shire of Dandaragan comprises four townships; Jurien Bay, Cervantes, Badgingarra and Dandaragan. Situated approximately 200 kilometres north of Perth and covering an area of 6,716 square kilometres, the Shire of Dandaragan has a lot to offer both residents and visitors. The Shire is the pinnacle of the Turquoise Coast, with pristine beaches ideal for swimming, snorkelling, diving, fishing and windsurfing within Jurien Bay and Cervantes, whilst the towns of Badgingarra and Dandaragan offer beautiful national parks with native flora and fauna, bush walks, unique Australian wildflowers and farming land. The Wheatbelt Conference 18 will be held in the coastal centre of Jurien Bay - the home of the Shire of Dandaragan.
