She also has many shapes. "When she reveals herself, it is then said that she is born" (MP. 81.48). In essence she is immortal, in appearance feminine. She reveals herself in creation, in the manifest cosmos. Or, she has created it. She acts differently from any woman and any god. She is the Great Goddess in any of the forms which she assumes. They are her symbols and, as such, polyvalent. Some of the myths of the goddess will be recounted here; step by step they are part of the structure in which her living image has its being.
