The project is based on a collaboration between the Università di Napoli “L’Orientale”, Napoli (UNO) and the Institute of Archaeology Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Samarkand (IAASU). Резюме: - Данная статья кратко подводит итог работы Объединенной археологической узбек ско-итальянской миссии в Койтепа в районе Пастаргом (Самарканд). В основе проекта лежит соглашение об археологическом сотрудничестве между Университетом Неаполя “L’Orientale” и- Институтом археологии Академии наук Узбекистана (Самарканд). Проект был начат в 2008-- 2009 годах и продолжается до сегодняшнего дня, после семи полевых сезонов. Предваритель ные результаты подтвердили, что памятник, состоящий из центрального “тепе” почти кони ческой формы, окружающей его стены четырехугольной формы внешнего канала изначально заполненного водой, представляет собой поселение, жители которого занимались сельским хозяйством и которое играло свою роль в контроле над соседним северным регионом, где- нередко появлялись скотоводы-кочевники из предгорий Каратюбе. -

Eshburiev*, S.K.Yuldashev Samarkand State University (SSU), Uzbekistan *E-mail: [email protected] Abstract: In this research work, the radionuclide composition of soils of different regions (on the example of districts of Samarkand region) and the results of the experiment obtained with gamma-spectrometer of 40K, 226Ra, 232Th and 137Cs radionuclides, which can be accumulated in cotton seeds grown in the same soil, were studied. Keywords: —radionuclide; radioactivity; cottonseed; accumulation; contamination; gamma-spectra. 1. INTRODUCTION Radionuclides which can be found in environmental samples include radionuclides of naturally radioactive uranium- thorium families (226Ra, 222Rn, 214Rb, 214Bi, 228Ac, 212Rb, etc.), natural radioactive isotopes of most chemical elements in the middle section of Mendeleev's periodic table (40K, 87Rb, 48Ca, 176Lu, 115In, 138La, etc.), cosmogenic (7Be, 14C, 3H, 32P, etc.) and man-made (137Cs, 90Sr, 89Sr, 144Ce, etc.) radionuclides. Natural nuclides of very long half-life that have existed since the creation of the Earth and their shorter-lived daughter nuclides. From the reaction of high-energy cosmic particles (protons, neutrons) falling from the space into atmospheric air in outer layers of the atmosphere (at an altitude of~9 km) with the nuclei of nitrogen, argon, oxygen and other gas atoms in the air, new, relatively light cosmogenic radionuclides are formed, and they merge with aerosols and fall into the surface of the Earth. -

View metadata, citation and similar papers at core.ac.uk brought to you by CORE provided by IDS OpenDocs COMMONS AND COLLECTIVES: THE LACK OF SOCIAL CAPITAL IN CENTRAL ASIA'S LAND REFORMS1 Robin Mearns2 Summary Current debate about land and agrarian reform in the post-Soviet Central Asian republics tends to be couched in terms of stark choices between state, collective and private ownership, whether of land, livestock, or operating capital. There is little discussion of the full range of potential tenure arrangements in the 'middle ground' between private and state ownership, including the possibility of common (endogenously evolved) as opposed to collective (exogenously imposed) forms of property, yet recent research suggests these may become increasingly important in the region in the near future. Part of the problem, this paper argues, is semantic: the meaning of terms such as 'collective action' and 'common property' has been tainted in the post-Soviet context by association with the failed experience of agricultural collectivisation. But the problem is also substantive. Relations of trust and reciprocity, and other features of what has come to be known as 'social capital', emerge as a essential precondition for successful land and agrarian reform, yet in the aftermath of agricultural collectivisation appear to be lacking precisely where it is most needed. This paper first outlines an approach to distinguishing modes of operation of groups in society. Next, two empirical case studies from Kyrghyzstan and Uzbekistan are offered in order to shed light on some of the institutional challenges faced in the contemporary process of land and agrarian reform. -

Annotation: In this article we are talking about the musical culture of life and a way of Samarkand chronicles the development of the musical amateur. Samarkand is one of the centers of social, scientific and cultural life of Uzbekistan. Samarkand became one of the most interesting and attractive cities in Central Asia. Being the oldest center of the East Samarkand calls to his continued interest and attention on the part of tourists, archeologists, historians and art historians. In Uzbekistan, the general tendencies of art in the twenties, spread with great rapidity. Carnival, hosted in Khiva, "Oriental Nights" in Tashkent and Andijan became a kind of mysteries. RESOLUTION of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan #PP-407 as of July 10, 2006 "On deepening the process of denationalization and privatization of the enterprises in the years 2006-2008" With the purpose of further deepening the process of denationalization and privatization of enterprises of leading branches o of economy directed to the increase of private property role in economy, fundamental reduction of state ownership in authorized funds of entities and also wide attraction of the direct investments into the development and modernization of enterprises including the foreign ones: 1. Approve lists of: o enterprises and objects where the unallocated state assets are to be privatized entirely to the private ownership, according to appendix #1; o enterprises and objects where the unallocated state assets are offered for sale in the years of 2006-2007 at the zero redemption cost with the acceptance of investment obligations by investors, according to appendix #2; o enterprises that have the strategic importance and which authorized fund has the unallocated state assets (including earlier handed over assets to charter funds of entities) are for sale on the decision of State Tender Commission into the private ownership in the period of 2006-2008 with the acceptance of investment obligations by investors, according to appendix #3. To establish that unsold, within the established deadlines, the objects and state assets in the eneterprises which are specified in appendix #1, are offered for sale on the decision of State Tender Commission at the zero redemption cost with the acceptance of investment obligations by investors. 2. Entitle the State Property Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the ministries, institutions, entities, Board of Ministries of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional khokimiyats and city of Tashkent, within a month, to approve the schedules and to provide with timely and appropriate appraisal, bids and sale of the enterprises, objects and other state assets included into the appendices #1, 2 and 3.
