This was a result of the search warrant executed by investigators on December 7, 2016 in 300 block of Homecroft Court in Superior. Other arrests were made as part of this ongoing investigation. On 12/07/16 Investigators from the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Superior Police Department Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant in the City of Superior. During the execution of the search warrant investigators located approximately 84 grams of heroin. A majority of the heroin was packaged for sale into 151 individual bags. The street value of the heroin in the Twin Ports area is approximately $15,000.00. Investigators arrested at least 5 individuals on drug charges relating to the sale or possession of heroin. Those arrests include a 30 year old male from Chicago, IL who is currently in custody at the Douglas County Jail in Superior, WI. That male is being held pending formal charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin. Investigators from the Superior Police Department, Duluth Police Department and the task force work closely together on a daily basis conducting these joint investigations. The close working relationship between our agencies is one of the primary reasons for the large number of successful arrests and drug seizures that happen on a daily basis. .
