Named after Mr. Nederlander’s mother whose warmth and hospitality was appreciated by the stars that performed at Nederlander venues since the 1920s, the Sar- ah Applebaum Nederlander Visiting Artist Award created a fund to bring award-win- ning Broadway producers, actors, musicians and designers to Detroit providing insight and inspiration for future generations of mu- sical theatre artists.
