Thank you for taking the time to visit and meet with our Jersey tourism suppliers. This month Visit Jersey starts out on our fourth year of operations. Over the last few years we have created a new way of presenting Jersey - the island break. And at the heart of our thinking is partnerships. Working together we can build Jersey’s visitor economy and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of your businesses. 2017 was a good year for the Jersey visitor economy, 727,000 visitors spent £250 million. Especially pleasing was the 16% growth in staying leisure visitors to 413,000. With your support we are looking to build our market to 1 million visitors spending £500 million by 2030. This Destination Jersey 2018 Workshop is an important event. It’s an opportunity for trade buyers and sellers to meet and discuss business. Over two days, we have tried to provide as many opportunities, both formally and informally, as possible for networking. It will be busy, but I’m sure productive too.
