He has secured All India Rank-175 in the examination conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. The national programme of fellowship is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. ❖ Praveen Sridhar of Class XII C has received the Ramanujam Best Math Student Award conducted by the Srinivasa Ramanujam Academy of Math Talent. ❖ A.ArunanAravaanan and K.Pravin Krishnan of Class XIB had exhibited their project on the topic “Mathematical Solution in Everyday Life” in the final round of the CBSE national level Mathematics and Science Exhibition held in February 2017. Their project was selected as the best in the regional level. ❖ Pranav Shriram,K.R Srinivas and Mahilan.B won the second place in a quiz competition conducted by the Society for Advancement of Chemical Sciences and Education at D.A.V School, Mogappair. ❖ Jayanth.N of Class XIIB and Ankit.A of Class XIA won the second place in a quiz competition conducted by VidyaMandir ❖ Ahan Ray of Class VIII D won the first prize in the event METFEST conducted on 19th August by Indian Meterological Society, Chennai Chapter. ❖ Jayanth N and Rishit C of Class XII and Ankit A of Class XI secured the fourth place at the Galaxy Science and Tech Quiz. Two thousand students from various schools had participated in the event. ❖ SCRAP-2017 is an annual cybernetics rapport with various computer based activities organised by SBIOA School. DAV ians clinched the overall trophy for a third time in a row. ❖ Pattabiraman R of Class XIID won the title of Mr.Raazmatazz, in the culturals organized by D.A.V Boys School, Mogappair ❖ Dileep Kumar R of Class XIC won the first place in the U-15 State Chess Tournament and Second place in the U-17 State Chess Tournament. He stood 8th in the U-15 Nationals and 5th in the Commonwealth Chess Tournament held in New Delhi. These socially-conscious young pioneers, who are motivated to improve life in their own communities and the world beyond, will receive their Awards at a special ceremony at Rolex headquarters in Geneva on 29 May 2013. The Young Laureates are: • Karina Atkinson (Scotland) • Selene Biffi (Italy) • Sumit Dagar (India) • Arun Krishnamurthy (India) • Maritza Morales Casanova (Mexico) Rolex introduced awards for Young Laureates in 2009 to encourage the next generation of leaders. Under the structure of that programme the next awards were due in 2014. However, due to a five- fold increase in applications from young people under 30 for the longstanding Rolex Awards programme, the 2012 Jury was asked to select five Young Laureates. Rolex received a record number of 3,512 applications from 154 countries for the 2012 series.
