    Spring 2019 Newsletter A Message from the Chief Greetings Tribe Members! On behalf of the Officers, welcome to another semester at the University of Miami! This year, we have embarked on a coordinated effort to reengage and reinvigorate Iron Arrow’s relationship with the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida. In addition to attending American Indian Day Photo by J.C. Ridley (IA’02) on the Reservation in September as a symbolic gesture, we have also formalized this effort. In partnership with the Tribe, and with support from University administration, Iron Arrow signed a Memorandum of Understanding between all three parties, reinforcing our partnership for the 2018-2019 OFFICERS Miccosukee Tribe. Nuñez Son of Chief This semester we have continued these efforts by hosting the Miccosukee Day on Campus, 786.863-0258 offering prospective Miccosukee students and their families the opportunity to tour campus, [email protected] enjoy campus dining, and attend a University of Miami Men’s Basketball game. We hope that this is only the beginning of a stronger connection to the relationship started 93 years ago by Mary K. Balise our founder, Bowman Foster Ashe.
