The following files will be located in the main GBC folder JNGBCGolf.exe - this is the main game executable. If you click on this file in Windows Explorer the GBC game will run. JNGBCDesign.exe - this is the GBC Course Designer executable. If you click on this file in Window Explorer the GBC Course Designer will start. This tool is not supported by the games publisher. Note that a version of the tool was also provided for the Accolade Jack Nicklaus 5 (JN5) game. Converter.exe - this is the GBC Course Converter executable. If you click on this file in Window Explorer the GBC Course Converter will start. Although technically it is a different program the publisher regards this as being part of the GBC Course Designer which they have provided as an unsupported tool. The following file will be located in the GBC/data folder txtrobj.dat - this very large file contains all the stock objects, skys, horizons etc used by the game. Unfortunately there is no facility available for people to individually extract the objects for editing other than by using the GBC Designer and screen dumping them into a graphics package. Some of the objects were made available on the CD that accompanied the Brady Games GBC Official Guide book but these were limited to the new objects added for GBC that were used on the stock courses. -

ANDREW WILSON: We are the biggest, fastest growing entertainment medium in the world by a wide margin, and it has been that way for some time. What we saw through the pandemic was tens, maybe hundreds of millions of more people recognized that games were a lot of things. They are inspiration, they are escape, they are competition, they are self-improvement, they are creation. But what they really are is social connection. And that won't go away. The Netflixes, the Amazons, the Hulus, the Disneys, the Peacocks, the HBO Maxs, while they can bring in large numbers of people in the context of their subscription, no entertainment medium drives the level of engagement that ours does. BOB SAFIAN: That’s Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, the gaming company behind franchises from Apex Legends to FIFA to The Sims. Gaming’s growth, especially during Covid, has drawn the competitive attention of media titans from Facebook and Snapchat to Netflix and Disney. Meanwhile, the gaming industry’s culture has come under fresh scrutiny, with industry leader Activision hit by a harassment lawsuit. Microsoft e Sony discutono riguardo il crossplay Gamescom 2017 è in pieno svolgimento e Aaron Greenberg, il capo del settore marketing della Xbox, ha dato qualche informazione riguardo la possibilità di crossplay con Sony e riguardo i titoli in arrivo per Xbox One X e della recente edizione della Scorpio. Chiedendo se le due case produttrici avessero discusso riguardo futuri crossplay, la risposta di Greenberg è stata questa: «Assolutamente sì. Stiamo discutendo con Sony (riguardo il crossplay), siamo partner su Minecraft e ovviamente vorremmo che facessero parte di una sola community formata da giocatori uniti tra di loro. Quindi ne stiamo discutendo con loro e speriamo che supporteranno quest’idea.» È una risposta corta quella di Greenberg, ma molto promettente. Speciale E3 – Microsoft La conferenza stampa Microsoft da poco conclusa all’E3 2017 è stata l’occasione per mostrare un corposo set di ben 42 giochi, di cui 22 legati a Xbox One da qualche forma di esclusività. Tra AAA, indie e sequel ce n’è per tutti i gusti, daAssassin’s Creed Origins, ad Anthem, nuova IP di BioWare, passando da indie come The Artful Escape, Cuphead e The Last Night. Ma senza alcun dubbio i riflettori sono stati puntati sulla nuova console, che finalmente ha svelato il proprio nome: Xbox One X, della quale abbiamo anche il prezzo (499 $) e una data d’uscita, fissata per il7 novembre 2017.
