ZooKeys 16: 347-375. doi: 10.3897/zookeys.16.224 Abstract Fossil harvestmen (Arachnida, Opiliones, Dyspnoi and Eupnoi) are described from Bitterfeld amber, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany deposited in the Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin. Th e exact age of this amber has been in dispute, but recent work suggests it is youngest Palaeogene (Oligocene: Chattian). Histricos- toma tuberculatum (Koch & Berendt, 1854), Caddo dentipalpus (Koch & Berendt, 1854), Dicranopalpus ramiger (Koch & Berendt, 1854) and Leiobunum longipes Menge, 1854 – all of which are also known from Eocene Baltic amber – are reported from Bitterfeld amber for the fi rst time. -

El catálogo incluye 8 especies con distribución europea -Trogulus nepaeformis, Anelasmocephalus cambridgei, Gyas titanus, Leiobunum blackwalli, Leiobunum rotundum, Megabunus diadema*, Oligolophus hanseni* y Odiellus spinosus*-, 7 endemismos ibéricos -Peltonychia clavigera, Nemastomella dentipate- llae, Nemastoma hankiewiczii, Sabacon franzi*, Ischyropsalis hispanica, Homalenotus laranderas* y Odiellus ruentalis*- y 2 es- pecies holárticas -Phalangium opilio y Paroligolophus agrestis*- Siete especies (*) son primera cita para Asturias. El catálogo de Opiliones para el norte de Portugal, Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, País Vasco y Navarra incluye en total 62 especies, de ellas 41 endemismos ibéricos, 15 europeas y 3 holárticas. We present a revised checklist of harvestmen (Opiliones) covering all the Nordic countries, including Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Altogether 31 species from 18 genera and four families are currently known, of which 23 are from Norway, 21 from Sweden, 17 from Finland, 25 from Denmark, five from the Faroe Islands and four from Iceland. Five species are documented for the first time in Norway: Lacinius dentiger (C. L. Koch, 1847), Lacinius horridus (Panzer, 1794), Opilio saxatilis C. L. Koch, 1839, Leiobunum blackwalli Meade, 1861 and Leiobunum limbatum L. Koch, 1861. In the mid-2000s, similar programmes were started in the Southern Urals. As a part of these monitoring programmes, the data on invertebrates in different types of biotopes, collected with different methods and in a different time intervals, continue to be gathered. Amongst the most well-studied groups of invertebrates are spiders and harvestmen whose communities are a convenient indicator of the environment. The data collected through these monitoring programmes can also be used to study natural local biodiversity. New information The dataset, presented here, includes information from a long-term monitoring programme for Araneae and Opiliones that inhabit grass stands of secondary dry meadows and litter of spruce-fir, aspen-birch and pine-birch forests in the Central and Southern Urals.
