Symphony Center - Chicago Orchestra "Home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra"

Ever since maestro Theodore Thomas first raised his baton at the Auditorium Theater in 1892, the world knew that this was a first class orchestra to be reckoned with. That reputation has continued through such legendary conductors as Fritz Reiner and Sir George Solti. The group by jordanfischer found its own home at Orchestra Hall in 1905. In 1997, after an extensive renovation, Orchestra Hall was re-christened , a place dedicated to educating young and old alike about classical and jazz music. Under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, the orchestra has continued its tradition of quality musicianship.

Jay Pritzker Pavilion "Music in the Air"

Jay Pritzker Pavilion is home to some of the largest and most well-known musical performances in the country, accommodating approximately 11,000 people at a time. Named in the fond memory of businessman Jay Pritzker, this pavilion hosts a number of rock as well as classical concerts. Latest state-of-the-art sound system adds to the experience. The Pavilion by Chor Ip also organizes annual prestigious shows like the Music Festival.

The Chicago Blackhawks moved into the newly done United Center in time for the 1994-1995 season. The United Center features the ultimate in fan entertainment and comfort. Some of the new amenities include an eight-sided video replay scoreboard, theater-style seats, 46 permanent concession stands, a cocktail lounge, interactive concourse displays, and by Glorius more. Fan convenience and accessibility are also key features at the United Center, a 960,000 square foot multipurpose facility that accommodates 20,500 for hockey, 21,500 for basketball, and up to 23,500 for concerts and other entertainment. The United Center was also home to the 1996 Democratic National Convention.

Lincoln Hall "Modern Music Venue for More Relaxed Concerts"

Lincoln Hall stands at North Lincoln Avenue, which has housed a Nickelodeon theater, a garage and machine shop, and the 3 Penny Cinema since the building was constructed in 1912. Now the space has been renovated to accommodate a music venue. Lincoln Hall is the by goatling brainchild of brothers Mike and Chris Schuba, who successfully ran Schubas Tavern for twenty years before opening this additional venue in the fall of 2009. Lincoln Hall serves as an extension to Schubas' programming, so the venue has been bringing in big-name musical acts since day one. The space features a mezzanine that wraps around the stage, a restaurant, and a few different bars. The contemporary interior created a comfortable environment for both the performers and their audiences.

The Vic "Concerts & Films"

The people who patronize The Vic theater do not seem to mind that it is somewhat rundown, dreary, dilapidated, dank and falling apart. It is all part of the charm of a crumbling once-luxurious five-story vaudeville house with floors and stairways of Italian marble. Customers pack in to hear various rock acts like Skinny Puppy, the Black Keys and Jackson by Dogwood Girl Browne. On non- nights (which means three to four nights a week), the Vic is home to "Brew & View," an ongoing series of second-run and cult films (during screenings of which, moviegoers can drink cheap booze and smoke pack after pack of Marlboros. It is just like your living room back home, with a bigger screen, better acoustics, a balcony (with wonderful sight lines).

Riviera Theatre "Great Rock Venue"

This venue showcases some of the most famous acts in rock music. Dating back to 1917, this eye-catching building is equipped with lush balcony seats and VIP-boxes.
