For the last several years, Aurora Legion members have placed candles on headstones of people buried in the Aurora Cemetery, who served in the armed forces. However, in addition to the candlelight ceremony, the Legion’s Ladies Auxiliary, headed up by Jean Anderson, will place permanent three-inch markers on the foundation or the side of all affected memorial stones. Some 350 markers have been ordered and are expected to be in place for this year’s ceremony.
