EMERGENCY REGULATIONS, 1936.

IN VIRTUE of the powers conferred on me by regulation 6A(1) of the Emergency Regulations, 1936,1, ALFRED READE GODWIN-AUSTEN, Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, and upon whom His Majesty has conferred the Military Cross, Brigadier and Military Area Commander of the Samaria District, hereby direct that the undermentioned roads in Nablus, shall be closed by being built-up at their northern ends, and shall so remain until further orders.

CURFEW ORDER.

IN VIRTUE of the powers vested in me by the Defence (Military Commanders) Regulations, 1938, and regulation 10 of the Emergency Regulations, 1936, I, JOHN FULLERTON EVETTS, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Com• mander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, on whom His Majesty has conferred the Military Cross, Brigadier and Military Commander of the areas or places known as the Galilee and Acre District (less the area known as the Jordan Valley), do hereby order that curfew shall be imposed within the town walls of — 100 —

Old Acre between the hours of 3 p.m. on 16th January, 1939, to 8 a.m. on 19th January, with two hours break between noon and 2 o'clock on 17th and 18th January, and thereafter between the hours of 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

I further order that curfew shall be imposed within the municipal boundaries of Acre but excluding the Old Town between the hours of 3 p.m. on 16th January to noon on 17th and thereafter between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The order in regard to the municipal area of Acre which was issued on 22nd December, 1938, is hereby modified.

from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. on the 17th of January, 1939,

in consequence of shooting at British Police; and I hereby give notice that any per• son who remains out of doors within the said area of Jaffa during these hours with• out a permit in writing from me or from some other fully authorised person will render himself liable to prosecution for an offence under the regulations made under the above-mentioned Order in Council.

The area bounded by the Ajami and Bustros Roads on the north-west, by King George Avenue on the east, and by the Suq Salahi from King George Circus to the Ajami Road on the south-west, exclusive of the roads named, from 6 p.m. till 5 a.m. from the 19th to the 25th of January inclusive, in con• sequence of repeated shooting during the past week; and I hereby give notice that any person who remains out of doors within the said area of Jaffa during these hours without a permit in writing from me or from some other fully authorised person will render himself liable to prosecution for an offence under the regulations made under the above-mentioned Order in Council.

TOWN PLANNING ORDINANCE, 1936.

AMENDMENT OF JERUSALEM OUTLINE TOWN PLANNING SCHEME MADE UNDER SECTION 19 OF THE TOWN PLANNING ORDINANCE, 1936, BY THE JERUSALEM DISTRICT BUILDING AND TOWN PLANNING COMMISSION.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under section 19 of the Town Planning Ordinance, 1936, that the Jerusalem District Building and Town Planning Commission have pro• visionally approved the following amendments to the Zoning Regulations — "B. Height, Curtilage and Percentage built upon", of the Jerusalem Outline Town Planning Scheme :—

The revocation of paragraph 4 thereof, as enacted by order of the High Commis• sioner dated 10th August, 1931, and published in the Gazette No. 289 of 16th August, 1931, and the substitution of the following paragraph therefor :—

"4.—(1) In residential Zones A and B, outbuildings may be erected in ad• dition to the percentage of building allowed in zoning Table 2, to cover an area not exceeding 5% of the curtilage, provided the area of the outbuilding does not exceed 60 sq. metres. (2) Not more than one outbuilding may be built on any one plot.

(3) Outbuildings may be built in a rear corner of a plot irrespective of the side or rear set back laid down in zoning Table 3.

(4) The height of an outbuilding may not exceed 3 metres.

(5) No windows or openings shall be made in any outbuilding on the sites abutting adjacent owner's property. (6) The design of any outbuilding in all matters pertaining to appearance, materials or the manner of construction shall be subject to the control of the Local Building and Town Planning Commission.

(7) Outbuildings shall only be used as private garages, washrooms, latrines or private storerooms for the use of persons dwelling on the premises. (8) The Building By-laws prescribed under the Jerusalem Outline Town Planning Scheme, where not inconsistent with the terms of this paragraph shall be applicable to outbuildings." Any person interested as owner or otherwise in land, buildings or other property affected by this amendment may lodge an objection thereto with the Local Build• ing and Town Planning Commission at the Municipal Offices, Jerusalem, within, two months from the date of publication of this notice in the Palestine Gazette.

NOTICE OF PROVISIONAL APPROVAL OF THE ANNULMENT OF A PARCELLATION SCHEME, GALILEE AND ACRE DISTRICT.
