Armadillo World Headquarters was a concert hall in Austin, Texas, that opened in 1970 in a redesigned National Guard armory building. The owners chose the armadillo to represent their club due to the animal’s perseverance and peaceful nature. The artists and fans of Armadillo World Headquarters were strong and determined—like its namesake animal—to make and listen to the music they loved.
