BENEFICIARIES i) Children from 6 months to 6 years. ii) Pregnant Women iii) Lactating Mothers iv) Widows/destitutes v) Adolescent Girls vi) Poor families vii) Aged Persons viii) Women and children who are victim of violence/atrocities ix) Aggrieved women of family disputes. IV. VARIOUS WINGS OF THE DEPARTMENT A. INTEGRATED CHILD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES (ICDS) WING The ICDS Scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme which provides health, education and nutritional care to young children, Pregnant and Lactating mothers. The wing is headed by the Programme Officer. B. WOMEN DEVELOPMENT WING Various schemes for the upliftment and protection of women are being implemented by this wing. Apart from Welfare Schemes, Puducherry Corporation for Development of Women and Differently Abled persons Ltd.
