HERZLICH WILLKOMMEN… von Christian Endres Eine Sinnkrise trieb den Millionär, Playboy, Visionär und Avenger Tony Stark in den Welt- raum. Dafür baute er eigens eine neue Rüstung, deren Betriebssystem von einer künst- lichen Intelligenz gesteuert wird, die wie Tonys beste Freundin PEPPER heißt. Zwischen den Sternen tat Iron Man sich mit den Guardians of the Galaxy zusammen, flog aber auch auf eigene Faust durchs All. Dabei traf er auf die außerirdischen Voldi, die ihn prompt dafür verurteilten, ihren Gott umgebracht zu haben, woraufhin Tony in der Arena gegen den Roboter-Söldner Death’s Head antreten musste. Tonys Rechtsbeistand und vermeint- licher Verbündeter, der Androide Recorder 451, vernichtete schließlich die Voldi und lockte Mr. Stark mithilfe von Death’s Head in eine Falle. Unter der Kontrolle des rigellianischen Recorders, erfuhr Tony schon so einiges über die Vergangenheit seiner Familie und das, was seine Eltern Howard und Maria taten, um das Leben ihres Erstgeborenen zu retten. Denn dieser wäre ohne das Eingreifen von Recorder 451 bei der Geburt gestorben. Deshalb be- freite Howard Stark 451 damals auch aus den Klauen einer Bande Alien-Mobster in Nevada. Recorder 451 sicherte durch genetische Modifikationen das Überleben des Stark-Kindes, das ihm dafür eines Tages dabei helfen sollte, die Erde vor der Zerstörung durch andere au- ßerirdische Mächte zu retten, denen die Menschheit zu gefährlich werden würde.
