21 PATIENT SUCCESS STORY

I am so happy that finally my kids don't have to suffer what I have suffered as a kid with poor vision.

Pre Post

In the village of Koria pora, Sirathu, kaushambi. There is a family of Six members which includes Mother, father and four kids. Among the six members, father along with three kids has bilateral cataract. Father Mahesh is a daily wages worker and owns a small farming land. He was brought to Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya through Deviganj camp on 4th September 2019 for the surgery of his bilateral cataract. When asked about his daily routines, he explained that it is very difficult to do the daily chores and farming because of the poor eye sight and also the villagers laugh at him for his poor eye sight. Initially he though it cannot be treated as per the advises of his parents and the other members from the village. The parents never took him to the doctor and he never received any treatment, he grew with a poor eye sight and made his routine according to his poor eye sight, but when he was screened in the camp and was told that this can be treated, he was really happy. He immediately asked his wife to bring the kids to the hospital as he had hopes that the kids could be treated also.

The elder one is studying in the school but because of the poor vision they are not able to understand and study properly in the class and as other 3 are small they don't go to school. The children were screened at Sadguru Nertra Chikitsalaya, Department of Pediatrics and Strabismus and was found that Mohit – 9 years, Shivani – 6 years and kanchana – 3 years have bilateral cataract and need surgical intervention immediately. here at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya all four of them underwent surgeries for the cataract free of cost and provided with the world class eye care facility to this poor family.
