District Program Manager’s Meeting - 12th July, 2019 District Program Manager’s (DPM) meeting of Bundelkhand and Eastern U.P. Region was held on 12th July 2019 at Chitrakoot. Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya along with NBCB & VI organized the meeting in the presence of Dr Y.K. Pathak, SPO- NPCB & VI. More than 40 participants shared their achievements and discussed future planning under the guidance of Dr B.K. Jain, Director & Trustee Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust . Inauguration of Community Eye Centre at Mahoba - 20th July, 2019 A state of the art Sadguru Community Eye Center of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot was inaugurated on 20th July 2019 at Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh in the presence of members of Sadguru Family, Dr Suman - CMO Mahoba, Shri Pushpendra Singh Chandel, Member of Parliament - Mahoba Hamirpur, local authorities and community members. Dr. Elesh Jain, Administrator & Trustee enlighten the community with the benefits and advantages of having an community eye centre in the region. 1 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Health Checkup Camp - 24th July, 2019 Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and Jankikund Chikitsalaya jointly organized a free health checkup camp, for the rural population living in a small village called Batohi. This Health check-up camp was held under the supervision of District Collector Satna, Shri Satendra Singh along with Dr A.B.S. Rajpoot, Administrator Jankikund Chikitsalaya Conference - 27th July, 2019 Dr. Rakesh Shakya, H.O.D & Senior Consultant, Glaucoma and Dr. Navjot Singh Ahluwalia, Senior Consultant, Glaucoma Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot were invited as faculty in “Glaucoma Summit 2019” held on 27th - 28th July 2019 at Mumbai. Visit - Nepal Delegates - 02nd Aug, 2019 A team consisting of 7 members from Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital, Lahan, Nepal visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya from 30th July 2019 to 2nd August 2019 for four days of training and observation. 2 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Felicitation Ceremony - 03rd July, 2019 A meeting was held with Satna DPM followed by a felicitation ceremony. Dr B.K. Jain Director & Trustee, Dr Elesh Jain Administrator & Trustee Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust felicitated Dr R.G. Chaurasia, Ex DPM Satna, Dr Arun Trivedi and all other Senior Ophthalmic Assistants of Satna. Anandpur Team Training - 03rd July, 2019 Team of 9 members from SSNC, Anandpur were trained at SNC Chitrakoot . The team comprised of Mr. Jignesh Halani - HR, Mr. Ghanshyam Baghel - Counseling, Mr. Nitesh Sen, Mr. Ravi Baghel & Mr. Arun Kurmi - Refraction & Pre-Op Workup (Camp), Mr. Golu Pathak - Outreach Camp, Mr. Rajkumar Sahu and Mr. Keran S. Jadon - Inpatient and Biomedical, Mr. Manoj Sen - Pathology Eye Donation Fortnight - 25th Aug - 8th Sept , 2019 Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya & Sadguru Eye Bank & Cornea Research Center celebrated Eye Donation Fortnight by organising Awareness Program, Poster Painting Competition, Rangoli Competition, Signature Campaign, Tree Plantation and Samman Samaroh For the Eye Donors Family. 3 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Muzaffarpur Eye Hospital Team Training - 04th Sept, 2019 Members from Muzaffarpur Eye Hospital, Muzaffarpur took training ato SNC Chitrakoot between 5th Aug to 4th Sep 2019. DM Visit - 08th Sept, 2019 On 8th September 2019 Hon’ble District Collector of Satna, Shri Satendra Singh Ji visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya where he appreciated the posters painted by Students which were based on creating awareness on eye donation among the masses. Amarjyoti Samaroh - 08th Sept, 2019 On 8th Sept 2019, Department of Cornea along with Sadguru Eye Bank team participated in the Donor Family felicitation program, which was organized at Satna by “Amarjyoti Pariwar”. In the program, the SNC team was honoured for its valuable support. DM Meeting - 10th Sept, 2019 A meeting on providing extensive eye care services was held at the office of the District Collector Shri. Sheshmani Pandey (IAS), Karwi, C h i t r a k o o t . H e w a s o v e r w h e l m e d b y understanding the work done in the feild of eye care by SNC and extentded his kind support in reaching the undersrved population . 4 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Amethi Camp - 17th Sept, 2019 On the occasion of Birth Day of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and with the inspiration from Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Women & Child Welfare and Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, M.P. Lok Sabha representing Amethi, “Uthan Seva Sansthan” along with “Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust” conducted two eye screening camps at Rae Bareli and Amethi on 17th of Sept 2019. Mentee Hospital Monitoring Visits 22nd Sept, 2019: Team from SNC comprising of competent staff from various departments including Management, Finance, Administration and Optometry audited and guided Bhaktivedanta Eye hospital, Barsana, Seva Sadan Eye Hospital, Bhopal, Gomabai Netralaya, Nimach, Muzzafarpur Eye Hospital, Muzzafarpur, SSNC, anandpur, Aurbindo Eye Hospital, Raipur. Summit workshop at LAICO, Madurai - 27th Sept, 2019 A Workshop on Capacity building and Mentorship was organized on the eve of October Summit at LAICO, Madurai in the memory of the founder of LAICO. The Workshop was graced with the presence of eminent personalities from leading eyecare institutes as well as from Leading Business Management Schools. 5 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Inauguration of New Unit at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Eye Hospital - 28th Sept, 2019 On 28th Sept, 2019 Shaheed Bhagat Singh Eye Hospital, Bareilly - Uttar Pradesh inaugurated its new unit with the support of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Shri Santosh Gangwar ji - Hon’ble Minister, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. Of India , Shri Arun Kumar ji - M.L.A Bareilly, Dr. Harbansh Singh - CMO, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Eye Hospital, Dr. Elesh Jain- Trustee & Administrator Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and Parampujya Shri Uma Shankar ji Maharaj were present during the celebration. 6 SADGURU NETRA CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Sadguru Humanitarian Award - 29th Sept, 2019 On 29th Sept 2019, Dr P.C.Dwivedi, Dean Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa was awarded “Sadguru Humanitarian Award” for his excellence in being the mentor, providing support, guidance and services in the field of eye care for the community by Dr B. K. Jain, Director & Trustee and Prof. Amod Gupta, PGIMER in the presence of members of Sadguru family. Inauguration - Department of Vitreo Retina & Uvea Services - 29th Sept, 2019 On the auspicious first day of Navratri, the new OPD of Vitreo Retina and Uvea Services Department was inaugurated by Dr Amod Gupta, Professor Emeritus PGIMER, Chandigarh and Dr P. C. Dwivedi, Dean Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa on 29th Sept 2019. Dr. B.K. Jain Director & Trustee, Dr. Alok Sen, MS & HOD Department of Retina & Uvea were present at the occasion. 7 JANKIKUND CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Orthopedic Correction Camp - 15th July, 2019 32nd Orthopaedics Correction Camp was organised from 15th - 22nd July 2019 at Jankikund Chikitsalaya, under the guidance and supervision of Dr A.B.S. Rajpoot - Administrator, Dr Poonam Advani - CMO and other members . Chief Surgeon Dr. Manoj Patel, and his team from Surat, Gujarat have given valuable services performance during this period and performed 77 procedures & surgeries like knee replacement, Hip replacement and other complicated orthopedic surgeries . ISO Recognition Jankikund Chikitsalaya - 31st July, 2019 Jankikund Chikitsalaya, a multi-speciality hospital at Chitrakoot serving under the flagship of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust was accredited to ISO 9001:2015. The certificate was handed over to Dr. A.B.S. Rajpoot, Administrator - Jankikund Chikitsalaya, Dr. Poonam Advani-CMO, JKC in a ceremony. The hospital is providing quality healthcare services to the rural population of the nearby region. Voluntary Blood Donation Camp - 11th Aug, 2019 Blood donation camp was organized by Nirankari Mission, Karwi Chitrakoot on 11 August 2019, during the camp 17 units’ blood were donated by volunteers from Nirankari Mission Parivar. Dr Darshan Singh ji Zonal Incharge , Banda & Dr. A.B.S Rajput Administrator and Blood bank Officer Sadguru Blood Bank Jankikund Chikitsalaya Chitrakoot and Team were present on this occasion. The effort of Mr. Lotan Prasad ji & his team were commendable during the camp. 8 JANKIKUND CHIKITSALAYA CHITRAKOOT Calipers Distribution Camp - 29th Aug, 2019 The camp witnessed an overwhelming turnout with patients coming from all over M.P., U.P., and Bihar to get treated by renowned Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Manoj Patel and team Surat, Gujarat. The camp saw 573 registrations with 77 surgeries that benefitted the patients. 296 Calipers were distributed with the contribution from members of Mahavir Viklang Seva Samiti, Kota, Rajasthan. CME - 04th Sept, 2019 Dr Sonia Tiwari, senior cancer specialist from Kamla Nehru Memorial Hospital, Prayagraj, delivered CME lecture on 4th September 2019 at Janikund Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot. 9 EDUCATION CHITRAKOOT Scholarship Distribution - 16th July, 2019 Scholarships were distributed to the students from Sadguru Public School and Vidyadham Higher secondary school, running under 'Sadguru Shiksha Samiti, Jankikund' by the “Mafatlal Foundation Mumbai”by the hon’ble Chairman and trustees of SSSST.

Agriculture Minister spoke about various initiatives by the Government to empower the youth. He also mentioned that if the country has to develop, proper Human Resource development should be the focus. He urged the students to take up the initiative of creating awareness among farmers about various Government programmes. Addressing the students, in the National Seminar titled “Empowering youth in agriculture”, Sh. Singh emphasised on creating awareness about Soil Health Card and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana. He also mentioned that Soil Health card will be issued in the next 3 years to all farmers in the country. With this card, farmers will be able to use fertilizers as per the advice of Soil Testing laboratories about the nutrient content of the soil.Mentioning about new initiative in the form of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, likely to be launched shortly, he said under this programme every field in the country will be brought under the ambit of irrigation facility. He also pointed towards the growth potential in the fisheries sector, where youth could play an important role. He mentioned that in the first and second quarter of 2014-15, a growth of 8.5% and 13.2% has been registered over the corresponding first and second quarter of 2013-14 in fish production.

Delkar and Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan and seven of our former colleagues, Sarvashri Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Sarat Kar, M. R. Kadambur Janarthanan, M. Deiveekan, Mahavir Bhagora, Capt. Satish Sharma and D. Pandian. Shri Mohan S. Delkar was a sitting Member of the present Lok Sabha and a Member of the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabhas representing the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Parliamentary Constituency of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Shri Mohan S. Delkar was a member of various Parliamentary Committees. An active social and political leader, Shri Delkar worked relentlessly for the upliftment of Adivasis of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. Shri Mohan S. Delkar passed away on 22 February, 2021 in Mumbai at the age of 58 years. Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan was a sitting Member of the present Lok Sabha and a Member of the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th Lok Sabhas representing the Khandwa Parliamentary Constituency of Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, Shri Chauhan was a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 1985 to 1996. An able Parliamentarian, Shri Chauhan was a member of various Parliamentary Committees. Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chauhan passed away on 2 March, 2021 in Gurugram at the age of 68 years.
