Mr Beller spent a year helping New York mayor Michael Bloomberg reform the city's education system, while Ms Moses helped to establish ARK in 2002, an international children's charity based in central London. She is credited by the charity with helping to set up an Aids programme in South Africa which has helped treat 30,000 people there; she makes two or three trips to the country each year. Ms Moses has also channelled £2 million of her own money through ARK into the King Solomon Academy in Marylebone, which opened in September last year.
