Hall of Fame Inducted 2015 Kansas City Larry Anderson Gilder Larry was born December 20, 1938 and graduated in 1957 in Greenville High School, Mississippi. He was in the Air Force in 1961-1965 serving at Richards Gebaur AFG Missouri He then worked for Western Electric and AT& T from 1965 to 1995 (retired after 30 years) His bowling has spanned 43 years of League and Proffessional Bowling Larry started bowling in 1970 at Capital Bowl and a few awards have been earned since then. Many Wonderful friends have aided me through the years. What makes a person humble is the many great bowlers that I have bowled against as a professional and league bowler. His PBA career spanned 1990 to 1997, Tournament parcipation includes NABI first place, 1985 Fred Broski Televised Champion, 1986 Gardener Masters finals, 1996 Southewst Senior Bowlers Association Tour 1,2,6,7,3 place finishes. Bouevard Bowl 40 and over 1, Midwest Senior Bowling Association 1990-1996 five first place finishes. PBA 1990-1997 12 top 24 finishes, including a 300 game. He has won the Midwest Senior Tournament five times, the SASBA Senior tournament one time. Larry has 13 800 series bowled in league and one in the PBA. He has 20 300 games bowled in league and one in the PBA. Larry has some notable records including High Series 1112 in league in 1987. Member of Goppers Bank teamd that recorded an 3660 series in 1980. Dean's Trophy member with a 3 member series of 2310 in 1987. Greenpeace team member with a 3 member series of 2280 in 1991. Missouri State USBC Hall of Fame in 2014 and Great Kansas City Hall of Fame in 1993. The most joy he has found throughout his bowling career is helping others with their game, bowling neverhas been the same but I have learned the game from many professional bowlers. Earl Anthony, Dick Weber , Dave Soutar, Don Johnson, Teta Semiz, Fred Borden and many PBA ball drillers while on the Senior Tour. The fun now is being in the Bill Stives Senior League and the older bowlers are so much fun. Every week our ailments seem to take a hiatus for a few short hours. .
