TaylorMade's Xander Schauffele Comes from Behind to Capture First PGA TOUR Title in Dramatic Fashion 23-year-old Schauffele continues streak of hot play to capture Greenbrier Classic for maiden PGA TOUR victory in just his 24th professional start. The win is yet another for Team TaylorMade as company's momentum on global tours surges into Summer. What You Need To Know: Schauffele's victory is his first on the PGA TOUR, continuing a string of strong results for the 23-year-old rookie. Schauffele finished the week with a 317.8 yard average off the tee and hit more than 75% of fairways during the tournament with his 2017 M2 Driver, which he's played since the Sony Open in January. His driver is equipped with a Graphite Design Tour AD-DI 6X shaft. Schauffele, who put the P750s into play a week after hitting them for the first time prior to the Honda Classic, hit a remarkable 81.9% of greens in regulation, which led the field. Schauffele's victory is the 26th on worldwide tours for TaylorMade's new '17 drivers, far outpacing the next closest manufacturer. With 68 in play (43.6%), TaylorMade again dominated the driver count at the Greenbrier Classic, nearly 20% higher than the next closest manufacturer. Xander is now ranked 27th in the FedExCup race with 878 points after coming into the tournament ranked 94th. With the win, Schauffele has earned spots in the 2017 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in addition to the 2017 PGA Championship later this year. He has also secured an invite to the 2018 Tournament of Champions, PLAYERS Championship and 2018 Masters Tournaments. Founded in 1985 with a gift of $1.1 million, The Beckley Area Foundation now has assets of nearly $40 million in 430 different funds managed by four trustee banks. Only the income from these funds is spent, and it is used to meet the community’s many charitable needs. “The money stays in the community and helps local needs,” said Datsko. “That’s what I wanted to do.” Datsko wasn’t the only lucky winner during The Greenbrier Classic in 2017. Our Marketing and Communications team (boys and girl - Marlene is a pensioner may not take too well to being called a girl) have been busy pulling this, our first newsletter together. Masters Quick Quiz This has taken us away a bit from all those extra jobs which have suddenly appeared around the house and garden which seems to get bigger every time I look at it. There are also only so many times you can wash the car. Anyway, I am pacing myself for the long run and saving up as many jobs as possible. When we do get back to Course Update playing we can expect a course in pristine condition all thanks to our greens team who are working away with no interruptions. Andy has quite kindly offered to keep us up to date to what is happening on the course and has taken full advantage of the recent good weather to get it in great shape.

Kentucky Golf Foundation's Gay Brewer, Jr
A Kentucky Golf Foundation Program Justin starting playing golf at the age of two and was competing in tournaments by the age of eight, winning his first tournament that June in the 12 and under division. Justin has won 125 individual events on the local, national, and international stage, and additionally has been a part of many victorious teams’ squads. One of the top players in the Polo Junior rankings and a Polo All American in 2010, Justin went to high school at St. Xavier High School in Louisville, winning the state high school championship both individually and twice as a team. He was named Mr. Golf in Kentucky in 2009. In 2010, Justin won the Terra Cotta Invitational, with a final round 66, his first major amateur win. That summer he was runner-up at the US Junior Amateur and in 2011, Justin won the International Junior Byron Nelson Award. Justin continued his golf at the University of Alabama where he won the first college event he played in, The Carpet Classic, firing a 30 on his final nine. In addition to winning the prestigious Jones Cup Invitational, one of the top prizes in amateur golf, Justin won six events as an individual. As a freshman, Justin won the Haskins Award and the Jack Nicklaus Award, as the national NCAA Division 1 player of the year, and the Phil Mickelson Award as the freshman player of the year. A SEC Champion as an individual and twice a member of the Alabama team in 2012 & 2013, Justin was also named SEC Player of the Year in 2012.
