FROM A WEBSITE TO A MAJOR INFORMATION TOOL…
The Tahitian Kayak Federation has been working for the past months on the creation, content, etc. of the website dedicated to the event, making sure it will meet the minimum ICF requirements.
The federation is conscious that there aren't any magic pills to create a great website that everyone interested participating in the ICF Ocean Racing World Championships 2015 will visit again and again, but there are things we can do to help. Some key things to focus on are making the site as easy to use and user-friendly as possible. It should also loads quickly and provides what the readers want right up front… and that is just what we’ve been doing!

ACCOMMODATION AT THE YOUTH AND SPORTS INSTITUTE The Youth and Sports Institute also called IJSPF is public administrative created in 1980, is in charge of the management of the sporting and youth equipments which are allocated to its establishment, of the implementation of trainings youths and sports, of the implementation of the politics of the high-level sport, the medical supervision of the top athletes and the support for the big sports and youth events.
Its headquarters are conveniently located just outside the capital of Papeete, in the city of Pirae on the East coast of TAHITI. Aside the administrative office, its building also offers basic and VIP accommodation to athletes along with a restaurant, meeting rooms, an auditorium, a fitness center, WIFI connection, etc.

Additionally to the hotel’s venue, they are housing options (self-catering) and lodging with locals or in small family-run hotels. Aside from the competition, for some paddlers, this gives them the opportunity to create their own experience unlike anyone else’s while visiting Tahiti.

BOAT HIRE, BOAT RENTAL

A CONCERN SOON TO BE RESOLVED… As a very small “kayak country”, we are restricted in numbers. This is one of our hot topics ! In French Polynesia, boat builders make some very good surf ski and specialized store import Fenn, Epic, Nelo, etc…
However, the Kayak Tahitian Federation has been working with Nelo… and the first prototype has seen the day on : April 2014 !
OTHERS BOAT MANUFACTURERS We are aware that hosting such a World event requires adequate quantity of boats in order to meet all the requirements. In order to provide adequate quantity, we are currently discussing with other boat manufacturers.
When discussions reach concrete agreements, the Tahitian Kayak Federation will inform ASAP.

ENTRIES AND REGISTRATIONS
Intent to participate entries deadline : June 6th, 2015. Hotel registration deadline : august 8th, 2015.
In order to benefit from the special rates at the Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti, all reservations at the hotel’s venue must be registered online at website (on construction, to be circulated) and sent by email at [email protected]
Nominal entries deadline : September 5th, 2015. All nominal entries must be made online at website (currently under construction)
September 7th, 2015 nominal entries received will be sent to each National Federation for confirmation to be ranked.
ENTRY FEE AND AWARD CEREMONY
Entry fee of 100 € will be charged and it includes:
. Race Lycra Jerseys . Cold snacks at the venue after each day race; . Race bag (water, Teipora Noni pouches (2), race t-shirt, race dossier, race and sponsor stickers, city maps and informations; . Security service at venues; . Welcome & Award Ceremony; cocktail & Farewell Dinner
The awards will be given to the winners only during protocol ceremony.
Any absence during the protocol award ceremony is an infringement to the respect of the Organizer, partners and sponsors and especially to the SPORT. Absences will result in disqualification!
