Be a part of history as the parade celebrates its 129th anniversary with the Florida A&M University Marching Band. Saturday, December 29 – TALLAHASSEE- Based on final flight arrangements depart Florida and take to the skies for Los Angeles, . On arrival, we’ll meet our local Diamond Travel Tour Guide who will introduce us to the “City of Angels.” As we’ll soon find out, Los Angeles has something for everyone, with 75 miles of sunny coastline, a flourishing Downtown, lifestyle playgrounds for the rich and famous, trend-setting art and fashion scenes, and internationally flavored neighborhoods. Sunday, December 30 – LOS ANGELES (Morning Bandfest Performance) After breakfast we depart for ’s Robinson Stadium, home of “Bandfest”. Here we see marching bands aiming to impress a worldwide audience during the upcoming Tournament of Roses Parade get a chance to show the talent, skills and high steps. Each band, and of course including “The Marching 100” will perform their various award-winning field shows that helped orchestrate the group’s success and assured their inclusion in the Rose Parade field. After the performance proceed to the seaside village of Santa Monica, with time for lunch on the 3rd Street Promenade, a stroll on the Santa Monica Pier and fantastic views of Santa Monica Bay and the Pacific Ocean from the palisades above the water. Monday, December 31 – LOS ANGELES After a leisure breakfast we depart the hotel, drive to downtown Los Angeles and begin our sightseeing tour of Los Angeles. We see the old Mexican quarter Olvera Street where Los Angeles was founded in 1769, the Music Center, Disney Concert Hall, designed by Frank Gehry, and Staples Center, home to the , Clippers and Kings. Then we continue on to Hollywood to see Grauman’s Chinese Theater, with its permanent collection of handprints, footprints and signatures of famous stars. Time to take a stroll along the Walk of Fame past the Dolby Theatre where each year the are presented (outside viewing). Continue on to Farmer's Market & The Grove, where the food is the freshest, the produce the best and the shops unique! There is time for an extended lunch and shopping stop before touring the Sunset Strip on the way to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. See where the stars shop in exclusive stores such as Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Bijan and Chanel. Adjacent to Beverly Hills is Century City, the business center of the entertainment industry and home of 20th Century Fox Movie Studios. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Breakfast.

Tuesday, January 1 – LOS ANGELES Happy New Year! Early this morning we leave our hotel and travel to Pasadena to witness the 129th Tournament of Roses Parade. Known as “America’s New Year Celebration,” the parade has been a grand tradition since 1890. The smell of flowers will fill the air as the beautiful pageantry and tradition of magnificent floral floats, high-stepping equestrians and spirited marching bands highlight this popular holiday event. Be sure to bring your camera along for this amazingly beautiful photo-op of these vivid displays of floral extravagance. Following the 129th Rose Parade, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then proceed to Victory Park, where the floral and animated masterpieces are parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards for up close viewing. Here you can truly see the design and workmanship that went into each float entry and learn more about the float process from Tournament volunteers – “White Suiters” – on hand. In the late afternoon we return to the hotel. Breakfast. Lunch.

Wednesday, January 2 – LOS ANGELES-TALLAHASSEE Today we bid farewell to southern California and travel to Los Angeles International Airport in preparation for our return journey home. No better time to reflect on memories of our Tournament of Roses Parade vacation that will last a lifetime. Breakfast.
