The CO2 figures shown however, are based on a calculation designed to be equivalent to the outgoing (NEDC) test cycle and will be used to calculate vehicle tax on first registration. Vauxhall and Opel’s 2017 acquisition by PSA Groupe, parent company to Citroen, DS and Peugeot, is instigating a product line-up change as the brand moves over from previous owner GM’s platforms to those of the French company. “It’s been very much a year full of product launches, whether that is new models or new engines; and we’ve had quite a lot of launches on the commercial vehicle side as well,” Vauxhall’s fleet boss James Taylor tells Company Car Today. “There’s been a lot of transition, from the legacy GM platforms out of the business and the start of the move into the new PSA platforms. PRICE £75,335 POWER 550hp PERFORMANCE 4.1 seconds/176mph COMBINED MPG JAGUAR 22.1mpg F-PACE CO2 272g/km SVR

WHY SHOULD I WANT IT? Jaguar describes its hot SVR version of the F-Pace as “sportscar performance, SUV design” and one look at the beefy front air intakes and bodykit confirms the point that this is a beast. Powered by a 550hp 5.0-litre V8 engine, it makes a particularly nice noise, but the SVR also offers a surprisingly composed and compliant ride for such a potent performance vehicle. WHY CAN’T I HAVE IT? It’s so much money! And then the overall efficiency is something of an issue compared with that of the 510hp BMW X3M, which is quicker as well as a couple of miles per gallon and 33g/km better. The interior is also lacking in something to turn a £40,000 regular F-Pace into a £75,000 range-topping performance machine. ARGUMENTS TO USE ON THE FLEET MANAGER MORE FLEETY ALTERNATIVE That decent ride quality joins the SUV practicality in The R-Sport trim level on a regular F-Pace is a styling statement that providing incredibly rapid space in a package suitable for isn’t too far away from the SVR, and in 163hp front-drive diesel form all the family. Residual values are over 40% over three that means 140g/km – almost half the emissions of the performance years and 60,000 miles of pretty crippling fuel cost. model – and a sub-£39,000 price tag.
