Media malpractice seemed to service way too much fraud and corruption in one small state in this country, for far too long a time frame. “Live Free” or Die, New Hampshire, regardless of any action, process or circumstance? Everyone is supposed to play up to one small state in the union, if they wish to become the next president. Well, I am able to justify changing that political process moving forward. Chief Justice Roberts should be holding this state more than accountable for the injustices covered up by how many attorneys at law in this region???? Ask, Barack Obama all about what it is that he supported during his time as a United State Senator. Same crap that is supported, by the Trump administration. Sincerely, Elizabeth A. Rawnsley From: [email protected] Sent: Friday, January 17, 2020 6:07 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Fwd: U.S. Supreme Court: U.S. Supreme Court Judge Roberts may not be fully informed, due to no fault of his own about so many relevant matters, involved in this presidency and what is truly covered up by the "feds" during many a presidency. I believe you know that U.S. Senator Grassley of the U.S. Senate did have U.S. Supreme Court Judge Roberts take an “oath” to serve as some type of “oversight” in the U.S. Senate, involving an impeachment process of U.S. President Donald J. Trump. Someone should be holding the legal industry, Congress and the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee members, accountable. We have many people involved in the media industry defrauding the public of many facts for decades. We have lobbyists employed in the media industry, suggesting that they are “watchdogs” and they are only interested in the “truths.” They are lying to the people in this country. This process is surely not honorable and we have citizens confused and so very misguided witnessing how it is that our own Congressional Delegates have done business in this country for decades. Oversight of Congress? Investigations of Congress? It seems as if we should have held our own administrations to some accountability, long before this impeachment process of Donald J. Trump. We have had administrations using their power in abusive manners long before this man was able to do business in a most disrespectful manner. I am requesting to speak with U.S. Supreme Court Judge Roberts: Please send this on to his attention, immediately, Sincerely, Elizabeth A. U.S. President Barack Obama is fully aware of the retaliation, that one must endure if you report any injustices, on to the attention of our own government, involving any state officials, in the State of New Hampshire, during his time frame as U.S. Senator Barack Obama. A summary of my concerns was forwarded to his attention during the time frame of his service, in the U.S. Senate. I have the reply from his staff. I am not sure why his staff sent my concerns on to the office of U.S. Senator Susan Collins, in Maine. I did reside in the Commonwealth of MA during that time frame. The media industry in this region is useless and they are not serving as "watchdogs" and we are not receiving accurate information or appropriate legal representation, during many a process. William Barr of the U.S.D.O.J. is one person that should be held more than accountable for all the lies and false facts forwarded on to the public by many of his own peers for decades involving state governing officials in the State of New Hampshire and in the Commonwealth of MA. Sincerely, Elizabeth A. Rawnsley Impeachment Process of Donald J. Trump. The person that should be held accountable at this late date and time frame is U.S. Attorney William Barr. He came into the process to cover up for his peers employed at Bank of America? U.S.D.O.J.? Attorneys employed in the State of New Hampshire, MA and in the State of Maine! Re: Media malpractice=Public Corruption at epidemic levels of support by William Barr of the U.S.D.O.J. and the Oversight Committee Members: Re: We have been witnessing the media industry covering up for illegal activities of governing officials for decades. The attorneys are in charge of all the false faces and false facts. How many politicians are attorneys? How many attorneys work in Congress and in the U.S. Senate? FBI? U.S.D.O.J.? Federal agencies all over the country? Oversight Committee in Congress? The U.S. Senate Judiciary? Office of Civil Rights? The U.S. Department of Labor? How many stonewalling a process is supported by the attorneys in these placements and in the state courts? FCC? Robert Mueller and his investigation cost how many millions of dollars paid to how many attorneys involving how many other attorneys for the people charged in that process? Robert Mueller lll covered up for decades of corruption and fraud supported by these politicians in power and working in many federal agencies. That would include many of his own friends and affiliations employed in many law firms while he was employed by Bush and Obama's Administration. What about all the attorneys employed by many media corporations, newspapers, at a local, state and national level of employment? What do they suggest to be stonewalled from the view of the public? White House Staff? This entire process is a show put on by the Democrats and the Republicans in public service now. If they truly wished to hold anyone to any accountability then they would be holding William Barr accountable. The Oversight Committee Members have become stonewalls covering up for their own personal and political agendas, year after year. There has been "NO" oversight until now? Why? Because Vice President Biden's family is involved in corruption? What else is news? No one knows more about corruption than the Trump Administration. He came into the process suggesting that he was to "drain the swamp." It is an impossible task and he never intended on addressing any fraud or corruption involving any states in the union during his presidency or campaign for his next election. That is one of the reasons why we have so much corruption, year after year. No one wishes to hold any states to any investigations or accountability during the campaigns and elections. That is all politicians do now. They constantly raise money and find ways to "win" the next election. One big circle of injustices and the media has been the winners in this process. So much money paid and so many books are written by anyone involved in politics. Nancy Pelosi is surely not an honorable woman in power but she controls many of the Democrats and they are not able to investigate into anything other than what she feels is relevant.

  • Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy Discussion Paper Series
Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy Discussion Paper Series #D-64, June 2011 Disengaged: Elite Media in a Vernacular Nation1 By Bob Calo Shorenstein Center Fellow, Spring 2011 Graduate School of Journalism, UC Berkeley © 2011 President and Fellows of Harvard College. All rights reserved. Journalists, by and large, regard the “crisis” as something that happened to them, and not anything they did. It was the Internet that jumbled the informational sensitivities of their readers, corporate ownership that raised suspicions about our editorial motives, the audience itself that lacked the education or perspective to appreciate the work. Yet, 40 years of polling is clear about one thing: The decline in trust and the uneasiness of the audience with the profession and its product started well before technology began to shred the conventions of the media. In 1976, 72% of Americans expressed confidence in the news. Everyone knows the dreary trend line from that year onward: an inexorable decline over the decades.2 And if we fail to examine our part in the collapse of trust, no amount of digital re-imagining or niche marketing is going to restore our desired place in the public conversation. Ordinary working people no longer see media as a partner in their lives but part of the noise that intrudes on their lives. People will continue to muddle through: voting or not voting, caring or not caring, but many of them are doing it, as they once did, without the companionship of the press. Now elites and partisans don’t have this problem, there are niches aplenty for them.

1 HBO: Brand Management and Subscriber Aggregation: 1972-2007 Submitted by Gareth Andrew James to the University of Exeter as a thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in English, January 2011. This thesis is available for Library use on the understanding that it is copyright material and that no quotation from the thesis may be published without proper acknowledgement. I certify that all material in this thesis which is not my own work has been identified and that no material has previously been submitted and approved for the award of a degree by this or any other University. ........................................ 2 Abstract The thesis offers a revised institutional history of US cable network Home Box Office that expands on its under-examined identity as a monthly subscriber service from 1972 to 1994. This is used to better explain extensive discussions of HBO‟s rebranding from 1995 to 2007 around high-quality original content and experimentation with new media platforms. The first half of the thesis particularly expands on HBO‟s origins and early identity as part of publisher Time Inc. from 1972 to 1988, before examining how this affected the network‟s programming strategies as part of global conglomerate Time Warner from 1989 to 1994. Within this, evidence of ongoing processes for aggregating subscribers, or packaging multiple entertainment attractions around stable production cycles, are identified as defining HBO‟s promotion of general monthly value over rivals. Arguing that these specific exhibition and production strategies are glossed over in existing HBO scholarship as a result of an over-valuing of post-1995 examples of „quality‟ television, their ongoing importance to the network‟s contemporary management of its brand across media platforms is mapped over distinctions from rivals to 2007.

  • HOMELESS: the MOTEL KIDS of ORANGE COUNTY Alexandra Pelosi, HBO
HOMELESS: THE MOTEL KIDS OF ORANGE COUNTY Alexandra Pelosi, HBO HOMELESS: THE MOTEL KIDS OF ORANGE COUNTY explores the world of children who reside in discounted motels within walking distance of Disneyland, living in limbo as their families struggle to survive in one of the wealthiest regions of America. The parents of motel kids are often hard workers who don't earn enough to own or rent homes. As a result, they continue to live week-to-week in motels, hoping against hope for an opportunity that might allow them to move up in the O.C. The toll of this lifestyle on their children is severe. Though the community tries to provide adequate education and food, the day-to-day lives of motel kids are often a numbing exercise in frustrating constraints and ever-diminishing expectations. Interview subjects in HOMELESS: THE MOTEL KIDS OF ORANGE COUNTY include: Rudee, age six, sleeps between her parents in a queen-size motel bed and says the worst place she ever slept was the bushes, which was "embarrassing." Though her father works as a mechanic, apartment rent in Orange County is too high for the family to afford. Still, they don't consider moving, and are content to pay $870 a month to live at the motel. Noting that all her brothers and sisters own houses, Rudee's mother looks forward to better times, saying, "We're survivors. The economy's going down, but we're not feeling it, because we are already there." Deanna and Dylan, ages seven and nine, moved into a motel with the family of a friend after their mother died.

The film was made a couple of years ago to be shown on Dutch TV as part of a “My America” series. It was a foggy evening and we were high up, engulfed by the mist outside, in a crowd dominated by young people: Many (tall) young Dutchborn guests, and a healthy contingent of Pelosis, from Rep. Nancy Pelosi herself to Vos and Pelosi’s two young sons, who were featured in the movie. The documentary, which focuses on the “two San Franciscos” theory, moves from images of the fastmoving, gleaming and growing tech world to images of povertystricken men and women hunched over their trays of food at St. Anthony Dining Room. In fact, the film makes its point by ricocheting from the life these two boys glimpse while visiting their family on the Gold Coast of San Francisco — images of one merrily riding his tricycle in front of mansions while a gardener works trimming the shrubbery — to life in the Tenderloin, where the family goes to help dole out meals as a gesture of caring.
