Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong Alliance of University and College Ymcas “Less” Know More Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong Alliance of University and College YMCAs “Less” Know More University & College YMCA Department Since 2003, the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong has established University YMCA® & College YMCA® in different higher education institutions in Hong Kong. Student development officers are stationed on campuses and collaborate closely with university and college staff to help foster students’ personal growth. We hope to shape youths into future social leaders with strong adaptability, problem solving skills and creativity through providing non-formal education such as local and overseas service programs and leadership trainings while applying Christian principles into practice which help nurture and challenge youths’ spirit, minds and bodies. Alliance of University & College YMCAs Established since 2013, the Alliance of University & College YMCAs is an organization of student executive committee comprised of representatives from all nine units of University & College YMCAs. Embracing the mission of “To Serve, not to be Served”, we aim at organizing a variety of joint university services and programs that promote the connection between all members of our University & College YMCAs network. 1 Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong Alliance of University and College YMCAs “Less” Know More “Less” Know More Prejudice or stereotypes often arise from ignorance. Different groups of “minorities” who are indeed significant part of our society are often neglected. Have we taken the time to care about them and hear what they have been trying to say? In fact, if we are willing to take the initiative to know more, we will be able to hear stories which we may never get to hear and will thus be able to gain a better understanding of them. Come join the Joint-University Service and Workshop Day – "Less" Know More on 8 April 2017! This is a great chance for you to know someone inside out through a human library, services and workshops!
