UMD WOMEN’S HOCKEY TURNS 20: Bulldog hockey will officially enter its 20th season in 2018-19. One of the most storied programs in all of women’s college hockey, UMD enters the season with an overall 438-188-60 record, and a 309-130-45 WCHA record. The Bulldogs, who own five NCAA trophies, are also an impressive 11-2 in NCAA Frozen Four games and 5-1 in NCAA Championship games. Overall, 32 Winter Olympians have hit the ice as a Bulldog, as well as 13 First Team All-Americans. Like UMD, the WCHA will also enter its 20th season of existence in 2018-2019. The Bulldogs have won the WCHA Regular Season title three times, and have been WCHA Tournament Champions four times. All time, UMD has had 78 All-WCHA selections, 52 WCHA Scholar Athletes and an impressive 150 WCHA All-Academic Team members.
