It has spread from China to many other countries around the world, including Malaysia since early 2020. Depending on the severity of COVID-19’s international impacts, outbreak conditions, including those rising to the level of a pandemic can affect all aspects of daily life, including travel, trade, tourism, food supplies, and business continuity. To reduce the impact of COVID-19 outbreak conditions towards businesses and operations, it is important for every organization to setup plans for COVID-19. For any employers and organizations who have not prepared for pandemic events should prepare themselves and their workers as far in advance as possible of potentially worsening outbreak conditions. Lack of continuity planning can result in a cascade of failures as employers attempt to address challenges of COVID-19 with insufficient resources and workers who might not be adequately trained for jobs they may have to perform under pandemic conditions. While most persons infected with COVID-19 experience mild symptoms and recover. However, some go on to experience more serious illness and may require hospital care. Risk of serious illness rises with age: people over 40 seem to be more vulnerable than those under 40. People with weakened immune systems and people with conditions such as diabetes, heart and lung disease are also more vulnerable to serious illness. The objective of this document is: • Guideline for employers and for an organization in setting up of a system and plans to prevent or limit the spread of COVID-19 at workplace. • Getting your workplace ready in case COVID-19 arrives in your community. • Be a reference document in dealing with COVID-19. • To inform Management in various level of operations on the process and procedure required to be in-place to communicate, monitor and enforce its practices. 1.2 ABOUT COVID-19 1.2.1 Symptoms of COVID-19 Infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, can cause illness ranging from mild to severe and, in some cases, can be fatal. Symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath: • Fever (temperature of 37.5 degree Celsius and above) • Tiredness • Dry cough • Aches and pains • Nasal congestion • Runny nose • Sore throat • Diarrhoea • Shortness of Breath The symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 days after exposure. Some people infected with the virus have reported experiencing other non-respiratory symptoms. While other people, referred to as asymptomatic cases, have experienced no symptoms at all. The virus is thought to spread mainly from personto-person, including: • Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 1 meter). • Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly

    Nature and Demise of the Proto-South China Sea ROBERT HALL, H. TIM BREITFELD SE Asia Research Group, Department of Earth Sciences, Royal Holloway University of London, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0EX, United Kingdom Abstract: The term Proto-South China Sea has been used in a number of different ways. It was originally introduced to describe oceanic crust that formerly occupied the region north of Borneo where the modern South China Sea is situated. This oceanic crust was inferred to have been Mesozoic, and to have been eliminated by subduction beneath Borneo. Subduction was interpreted to have begun in Early Cenozoic and terminated in the Miocene. Subsequently the term was also used for inferred oceanic crust, now disappeared, of quite different age, notably that interpreted to have been subducted during the Late Cretaceous below Sarawak. More recently, some authors have considered that southeast-directed subduction continued until much later in the Neogene than originally proposed, based on the supposition that the NW Borneo Trough and Palawan Trough are, or were recently, sites of subduction. Others have challenged the existence of the Proto-South China Sea completely, or suggested it was much smaller than envisaged when the term was introduced. We review the different usage of the term and the evidence for subduction, particularly under Sabah. We suggest that the term Proto-South China Sea should be used only for the slab subducted beneath Sabah and Cagayan between the Eocene and Early Miocene. Oceanic crust subducted during earlier episodes of subduction in other areas should be named differently and we use the term Paleo- Pacific Ocean for lithosphere subducted under Borneo in the Cretaceous.

Ambu4 and Benoit Goossens1,2,4,5* Abstract Background: The Bornean banteng (Bos javanicus lowi) is an endangered subspecies that often inhabits logged forest; however very little is known about the effects of logging on their ecology, despite the differing effects this has on other ungulate species. A body condition scoring system was created for the Bornean banteng using camera trap photographs from five forests in Sabah, Malaysia, with various past and present management combinations to establish if banteng nutrition suffered as a result of forest disturbance. Results: One hundred and eleven individuals were photographed over 38,009 camera trap nights from April 2011 to June 2014 in five forests. Banteng within forests that had a recent history of reduced-impact logging had higher body condition scores than banteng within conventionally logged forest. Conversely, when past logging was conducted using a conventional technique and the period of forest regeneration was relatively long; the banteng had higher body condition scores. Conclusion: The body condition scoring system is appropriate for monitoring the long-term nutrition of the Bornean banteng and for evaluating the extent of the impact caused by present-day reduced-impact logging methods. Reduced-impact logging techniques give rise to individuals with the higher body condition scores in the shorter term, which then decline over time.

The recognition in the field of an Early Miocene regional unconformity, which may be equivalent to the Deep Regional Unconformity recognised offshore, has allowed the development of a stratigraphic framework of groups and formations, which correspond to stages in the sedimentary basin development of the area. Below the Early Miocene unconformity lies ophiolitic basement, which is overlain by an accretionary complex of Eocene age and a late Paleogene deep water succession which formed in a fore-arc basin. The late Paleogene deposits underwent syn-depositional deformation, including the development of extensive melanges, all of which can be demonstrated to lie below the unconformity in this area. Some localised limestone deposition occurred during a period of uplift and erosion in the Early Miocene, following which there was an influx of clastic sediments deposited in delta and pro-deltaic environments in the Middle Miocene. These deltaic to shallow marine deposits are now recognised as forming two coarsening-upward successions, mapped as the Tanjong and Kapilit Formations. The total thickness of these two formations in the Central Sabah Basin amounts to 6000 m, only half of the previous estimates, although the total stratigraphic thickness of Cenozoic clastic strata in Sabah may be more than 20,000 m.

    Low Kok On Universiti Malaysia Sabah Jacqueline Pugh-Kitingan Universiti Malaysia Sabah Field Note The Impact of Christianity on Traditional Agricultural Practices and Beliefs among the Kimaragang of Sabah A Preliminary Study The Kimaragang, an indigenous Dusunic ethnic group from the Districts of Kota Marudu and Pitas in Sabah, Malaysia (formerly North Borneo), tra- ditionally practice the shifting cultivation of hill rice with maize. This study focuses on Kimaragang hill rice cultivation and discusses some of their tradi- tional agriculturally-focused beliefs and communal healing and cleansing ritu- als. Over time, with the conversion to Christianity and the movement towards the towns of Tandek and Kota Marudu, many of these practices have declined. Christianity became the main religion among the Kimaragang during the 1950s and more so after the expulsion of missionaries from Sabah in the early 1970s. The factors that led to this large-scale conversion to Christianity and the gradual demise of some of the old agricultural rituals and some of the associated beliefs are herein examined. SFDSB signing the Sustainable Forest Management Licensed Agreement 04/97 (SFMLA 04/97) in September, 1997 with the State Government of Sabah, with a total area of 95,300 ha. i. 1st FMP (1st January 2004 - 31st December 2013). The SFMLA 04/97 or called as Licensed Area of 95,300 ha, was managed by SFDSB based on the 1st FMP.
