The Times Stylebook 2004 Times Stylebook 2004 Introduction The Times’ in-house stylebook has languished in recent years for lack of updates and current information. While much of the data remain valid, there last time The Times Stylebook was thor- oughly revised was in 1994. And even though there were minor revisions in 1998, still the newsroom has (until now) been dealing with a mostly outdated tool. This 2004 edition not only provides a new, updated source for local style, it also corrects any deficiencies or inaccuracies that may have cropped up with the passage of time. Thanks to those who made this possible, especially Bill Beene and Randy Hedrick, as well as those from around the newsroom who have contributed by updating certain facts and adding others that were omitted from previous editions.
