June 5, 2015 Dear Customer, The Milford Bank will be closing its Stratford ShopRite Office located at 250 Barnum Avenue Cutoff on September 15, 2015. The decision to close an office is never an easy one, but we are certain that we will be able to provide you the excellent customer service you have come to expect from The Milford Bank at our other local and convenient locations. All accounts currently maintained at the Shop Rite Office will be transferred to the Bank’s Stratford Center Office, located at 2366 Main Street. Your accounts will be transferred automatically. No action by you will be necessary. Of course, we welcome you to bank at any of our remaining offices in Stratford and Milford. We’re here to make this transition as easy as possible for you. In addition to our Stratford Center Office, we also maintain our Devon Office at 205 Bridgeport Avenue in Milford which is approximately one mile from the Shop Rite Office. We are privileged to serve the residents and businesses who have trusted us to meet their financial needs. We are proud of the assistance we have offered to the community – both financial and in volunteer hours - and plan to continue our long tradition of supporting the communities we serve. Your relationship is very important to us. Patty Gallagher, manager of our Stratford Office and lifelong Stratford resident, will oversee your accounts after the ShopRite Office has closed. The Milford Bank will be closing its Stratford ShopRite Office, located at 250 Barnum Avenue Cutoff on September 15, 2015. Leading up to that date, hours at that location may change. Please check the Bank’s website or call us for current hours. Will the ATM still be available when the branch closes? We are presently in negotiations with the Landlord to determine if an ATM can remain at the location. However, Milford Bank ATMs are available at two Milford Bank Offices that are close to that location. The Bank is also a member of the AllPoint ATM Network, which provides free access to over 55,000 ATMs worldwide. Why is the branch closing? The decision to close the office was based on a variety of factors. Certainly, the impact of technology and the fact that many customers no longer regularly visit bank offices were factors. The decision to close an office is never an easy one but we are certain that we will be able to provide you the excellent customer service you have come to expect from The Milford Bank at our other local and convenient locations. Do I need to close my account? No, there is no need for you to close your account. We value your business and believe we can continue to provide you convenience and excellent service at our other locations as well as online. Where will my accounts be held? All accounts currently maintained our ShopRite Office will be transferred to our Stratford Office, located at 2366 Main Street. There is nothing you need to do. They will be transferred automatically after the close of business on September 15, 2015. Of course, we welcome you to bank at any of our six remaining offices in Stratford and Milford. Will this affect my FDIC Insurance? No! All deposits held at any Milford Bank location are collectively insured under current FDIC limits.
