PICKING UP STEAM Since May 19, Miami's offense has paced Major League Baseball with a .301 average, while its .360 on-base percentage ranks second, behind only Boston (.374). In that same span, Marlins hitters have recorded the second-fewest strikeouts (tied with Kansas City - 73), more than only the Toronto Blue Jays (64).
