DJ Vic Live Bigz Sequentials 2013 I was so excited to return to the Sequentials!!! It was my first time back since their move from Lodi to Spaceland, and what a Fantastic move for the better! Spaceland has all the facilities you would expect from a World Class Dropzone. I can certainly see why they would host the USPA nationals here. But as with all Dropzones, the determining factor in my opinion in how awesome a dropzone is, always boils down to the DZO. It was the first time I had properly metStephen Boyd (whose family owns Spaceland) what a cool character! Listening to the needs of the people and the event, quietly going around doing what needed to be done. This trickles down to the staff, to the DZ Manager, all the way down to the packers to make for a really cool atmosphere. The best backdrop to a MEGA event! All 40 of us were brought together by co-event organisers Bill “MX” Halsey and Donagene Jones with Mike Knight and me on hand to help organise when we split down into 3 smaller groups. This allowed us to work on both vertical sequentials as well as the chance to sneak in a little “European” style movement! One thing I really enjoyed seeing was the mix of new and old faces. It was great to see so many new skilled flyers, which I attribute to the new tunnel generation. But learning skills in the tunnel doesn’t always bring you sky experience. As an organiser it can be difficult to tell the basics of formation flying to these super skilled kids. But they were all there to learn and did so very quickly! Flying on level, referencing through the middle of the formation, flying their slot, docking and proper break offs.

PRESS RELEASE For immediate release Indoor Skydiving 2020 | 1st Global Summit by FAI Tunnel vision of the broadest kind Lausanne, Switzerland, 26 August 2019 – “Tunnel Vision of the Broadest Kind” is the tagline for this first encounter between a leisure industry and air sports' world governing body. After indoor skydiving's bid for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (www.flyin2024.com) lost out to events in four other sports, the stakeholders in this young air sport discipline meet on the northern Costa Brava to make adjustments to their shared vision for the Olympic cycle through Los Angeles 2028. The World Air Sports Federation, FAI, the FAI Parachuting Commission, IPC, and Support Air International, SAI, are the organizers of Indoor Skydiving 2020 | First Global Summit by FAI. From 1 to 3 February 2020, an estimated 200 summiteers will descend on the Bay of Roses | Land of the Sky | Home to the Wind in Catalonia, Spain, for two days of deliberations on the nature, the current scope and the future development of indoor skydiving. The resort towns of Castelló d’Empúries/Empúriabrava and Roses are the most appropriate venues for this summit as there is hardly another location in the world quite as steeped in the history of competitive human flight. They were hosts to numerous FAI World Championships and World Cups in Skydiving since 1989 – as well as perennial host to The Wind Games in Indoor Skydiving since 2014. In regular and breakout sessions, in panel discussions and workshops held over the two days, the summit will cover a wide range of topics.
