Cowgirls For Three: The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team has made it a habit from shooting from beyond the arc. Through the Drake game (11/21/17), UW has made a three-point fi eld goal in every game during the season and 50 consecutive games. The streak dates back to the 2015-16 season against San Jose State (1/13/16).

Legerski for 250: Head coach Joe Legerski reached another milestone in his stellar career. With the 68-48 win over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds (12/2/16), he reached 250 wins for his career. Already the winningest coach in school history, he recorded that mark with a 72-50 win over Waves on Nov. 24, 2012. His current record stands at 271-166 (.620), while his conference mark is 133-93 (.588). He overtook Chad Lavin who completed his coaching career at Wyoming with 175 wins.

Bringing In The Crowd: The Cowgirls are averaging 2,515 fans for the 2017- 18 campaign with a total of 7,545. Their largest regular season crowd of the year was 2,608 against Adams State (11/11/17).

Cowgirls Ink Four: University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski announced the signing of four student-athletes to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2018.

Karla Erjavec (Air Yah Vets), 5-10, Guard, Zagreb, Croatia (Sport Gymna- sium): A member of the U18 National Team in Croatia. This past summer, she averaged 15.1 points, three rebounds and 1.6 assists in the U18 FIBA Women’s European Championships. Her U18 team won four gold medals in the U18 State Championships and was a fi nalist in the U16 Championships three times. She was a two-time MVP and Best Five selection during her career. Gerald Mattinson Associate Head Basketball Coach, Weber State '81 Gerald Mattinson will be entering his 15th season on the Cowgirl coaching staff and his 11th as an associate head coach. He began his college basketball career as a student-athlete at Casper College for head coach Oscar “Swede” Ericson. While there, he was a First Team All- American and All-Region selection in 1978. Mattinson then moved onto a three-year career at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He earned All-Conference honors twice during his career for head coach Neil McCarthy. A two-time Academic All-American selection, he graduated from Weber State with a bachelor’s of science degree in business education in 1981. He completed a master’s of sports science degree from the United States Sports Academy in 1988 and earned his principal endorsement from the University of Wyoming. Mattinsons’ professional coaching career began at Weber State as a graduate assistant coach with the men’s basketball program during the 1981-82 season. From 1982-1987, he was the head boy’s basketball coach at Rock Springs High School. He earned Wyoming State Coach of the Year honors and was named Conference Coach of the Year twice. From 1987-90, Mattinson was an assistant men's coach at Western Wyoming Community College. He was elevated to an As- sistant Athletics Director and the Head Men’s Basketball Coach in 1991 and held the position until 1998. For the 1998-99 season, he became an assistant with the women’s program for one year. Mattinson had been a business education teacher at Rock Springs High School since 1982 before taking the position of Principal at East Junior High School in June of 2001. Mattinson, and his wife, Carey are the parents of three children, stepson Morgan Splichal, stepdaughter Tiffany Paradis and son Ashton.

Bojan Jankovic Assistant Basketball Coach, University of the Ozarks, '06 Bojan Jankovic joined the Cowgirl basketball program in the summer of 2015. Jankovic came to Wyoming after a fi ve-year stint at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. He joined the ORU staff in 2010, and helped guide the Golden Eagles to the Southland Conference Championship in 2013. At ORU, Jankovic was responsible for international recruiting and scheduling, working with the post player’s and game day preparation. He coached Sarah Shelton to All-Southland Con- ference honors in 2013 while in 2015 coached Vicky McIntyre to leading the nation in rebounds and blocks per game. She was drafted 20th by the Seattle Storm, the fi rst player in Oral Roberts history. Also in his time at ORU, the Golden Eagles won 88 games and made four postseason appearances, including a 2013 trip to the NCAA Tournament and a pair of WNIT bids. He also has experience coaching at the highest levels of international basketball. He currently serves as an assistant coach on the Serbian senior national team. The team won the gold medal during the 2015 European Championship which helped them qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympics. The team mounted an upset of the Austrailian's 73-71 in the quarterfi nals before falling to Spain in the semifi nals. The team would respond with a 70-63 win over France in the Bronze medal game. During the summer of 2013, the squad fi nished fourth at the European Championship which was at the time the highest in the nation’s history. In 2014, the Serbian national team reached its best ever fi nish at the FIBA World Championships in Turkey fi nishing eighth. All-together, he has helped coach four players who have reached the WNBA, Ana Dabovic, Vicky McIntyre, Jelena Milovanovic and Sonja Petrovic. Prior to that, Jankovic spent four seasons at Centenary College in Shreveport, La., serving as assistant coach for three years before taking over the head coaching duties for the 2009-10 season. He also assisted at the University of the Ozarks for one year, where he helped the men’s basketball team achieve the most conference wins in team history. He spent fi ve years with Radnicki, a Division I Professional team in Serbia, where he served as the head coach for the U18 team. In 2004, he helped lead Radnicki’s U18 team to a win in one of the largest tournaments on the European circuit in Goteborg, Sweden. Jankovic started his playing career with Radnicki, and he also played at Belgrade Basketball Club before coming to the United States. Collegiately, he played at Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, Wis., leading the team to the National Small College National Championship in 1996. He received his degree from the University of the Ozarks in 2006. Jankovic and his wife Bojana have a daughter Anja and son Vuk.

Heather Ezell Assistant Basketball Coach, Iowa State, '09 Heather Ezell is entering her third season as an assistant coach with the Wyoming basketball program in 2017-18. She came to Wyoming after spending the previous four seasons at Southeast Missouri State. She joined the staff in 2011 and was responsible for working with the guards along with organizing practices, game day preparation and running summer camps. In 2012-13, she helped mentor Kara Wright to an Ohio Valley Conference All-Newcomer selection, marking the fi rst Redhawk to earn postseason honors since the 2008-09 season. Ezell spent the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach at Fairfi eld University, where the Stags posted a 17-13 overall record and a 10-8 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. She worked primarily with perimeter players while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program, including practice and game planning, recruiting and coordinating the team’s community service efforts. She had a highly decorated career both collegiately and professionally which began as a four-year letterwinner at Iowa State University (2005-09). She fi nished her career tied for the Cyclones’ career record with 287 made three-point fi eld goals and fi nished 10th in program history with 1,339 points. In her senior season, Ezell earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors. She ranked 27th nationally with 2.5 three-point fi eld goals made per game and eighth in the Big 12 with 3.5 assists per contest. Ezell also earned a spot on the 2008 Big 12 All-Tournament Team and helped the Cyclones to three NCAA appearances including the Elite Eight in 2009. Ezell moved onto the professional level in 2009-10, playing in Iceland for Haukar where she was named Best Player in the Iceland Express League. She led the league in points and steals while fi nishing second in assists and rebounds. She also earned Most Valuable Player recognition in the league’s All-Star Game. A native of Springfi eld, Mo., Ezell led her Kickapoo High School team to two state championships and a 113-7 record during her prep years. She was named Miss Show Me Basketball as Missouri’s top player in 2005. Ezell graduated from Iowa State in 2009 with bachelor’s degrees in management and marketing.

Fallon Lewis Assistant Director of Player Development, Wyoming'14 Fallon Lewis joined the Cowgirl staff as the Director of Recruiting beginning in September 2015. She was named the Assistant Director of Player Devel- opment during the 2016-17 season. Lewis returned to her alma mater after spending eight months playing for CB Arxil in Pontevedra, Spain. In 24 games, she averaged 11.9 points and 6.5 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per contest. She also spent time over the summer as a private basketball trainer. Lewis had a highly successful two-year career (2013-14) with the Cowgirls. An Honorable Mention All-Conference selection during her senior campaign, she played in 62 games with 31 starts. In her fi nal season with Wyoming, she averaged 14.3 points and a team-leading 8.9 rebounds. Lewis also recorded 20 points and 21 rebounds in a game becoming only the second player in school history to achieve that. As a junior, she came off the bench and averaged 6.1 points and 3.6 boards in 31 contests. Prior to UW, she spent two seasons at Sheridan College from 2011-12. Lewis was an Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American selection in 2012 and a two-time Region IX All-Conference selection. She helped the Lady Generals to a 45-21 mark and a NJCAA North Sub-Region IX title over her two years.
