Welcome and congratulations on getting a place here at the University of Manchester and all the hard work that went into getting here! Your time here at the University can be some of the most exciting and rewarding times of your life however it can also be a lot of hard work! As part of the Peer Support PASS team for Aerospace we are here to help you tackle the new experiences and challenges you will face at university. During Welcome Week you will have the time to meet your PASS leaders who will be with you throughout your first year to help with everything from finding lecture theatres to finding houses to live in for second year! Our leaders are all in years 2-4 and have valuable experiences and wisdom from being in your position previously. I really hope you engage with your leaders and your PASS group, for some of you this year, they may be the first people you meet from the course!     Directions to: Parrs Wood High School Wilmslow Road, East Didsbury, Manchester, M20 5PG 0161 4452379 Directions from the North Join the A34 southwards towards the M60. Continue down the Kingsway part of the A34 until you reach Tesco and Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre (with Cineworld and Chiquito). Just after the cinema at the next set of major traffic lights take the left fork (note, this is not the turning into the car park but the road after that). Then turn left again almost straight away at the next set of traffic lights and follow the road around, with the cinema complex car park to your left and Parrs Wood High School to your right. You’ll come to a right hand turn with a sign saying ‘no exit’. Turn right here and follow the road past the basketball courts round to the back of the sports hall, until you arrive at the rear car park. Directions from the South Join the M56 northwards towards Manchester. Be sure to turn off at Junction 3 to stay on the M56. Depart at Junction 1 onto the A34. At the next set of major traffic lights (about ½ mile) turn right. This is just before Parrs Wood Entertainment Centre. Turn left shortly after at the next traffic lights and follow the road around, with the cinema complex car park to your left and Parrs Wood High School to your right. You’ll come to a right hand turn with a sign saying ‘no exit’. Turn right here and follow the road past the basketball courts round to the back of the sports hall, until you arrive at the rear car park.
