Ms Elwyn Developments - Loss of allotments in Sevenoaks to allow for development Jones - Existing Industrial/Commercial sites should be retained for future use for employment purposes. Armstrong (Kent) LLP -affordable housing should be for those who serve the local community. Chairman The - affordable housing should be part of existing stock, well planned and brought back into public ownership. Cooper Estates Sevenoaks Society Limited -Fort Halstead should be allocated for housing/mixed use development Mr David - SHLAA 2009 update is not a robust and credible piece of evidence Gamble - SE Plan target of 3300 new dwellings for Sevenoaks District is too high. - 3300 new homes will accommodate too many people. Should wait for the natural flow of people leaving Sevenoaks. - Halstead Place School should be allocated as a MDS in the Green Belt -regarding United House the criteria on site plans not justified -Disagree with sliding scale approach to affordable housing but acknowledge it is a Core Strategy Issue. - Target of 40% of new housing to be affordable is too high for developers. Mr David Gamble - New housing in Edenbridge should be of values over £350k to ensure new residents add prosperity and not a drain on resources. Katherine Dove KCC Planning - It would make the document clearer to differentiate which sites already have planning permission and Policy those that are newly identified. 4 Item 7 - Appendix Ms Elwyn -Supports the Green Belt maintenance Jones - Infrastructure issues such as roads, drainage and lack of cycle lanes will be made worse by new development. Mr Tom Brown - The ratio of number of units /planning officers in comparison to all LPA's in the UK these numbers seem very low. Good planning requires new homes to assist in the country's wealth and health. Parish Clerk Otford Parish - It is not made clear whether the "affordable housing" is for rent or sale. Limited Land to the east and west of Old Otford Road, Sevenoaks should be safeguarded for an M26 Slip Road.
