The Parliament is the best way for anons to express their opinions. 2. It is democracy in the great imageboard setting, the best ranking system. 3. It is not being controlled by the upvote downvote system used by Voat and Reddit. 4. People can vote on what they want and if they succeed getting a majority, it will be done. Aliases for Parliament 1. The Parliament can be refered to as “Congress” as a slang. 2. Members of the Parliament can be refered to as “Congressman” as a slang. 3. Members of both chambers are called “(Parliament) Member”. 4. Members of a singular chamber are called “Chamberman”. 5. The first chamber of the Parliament (/sen/) is called “(8chan) Senate”. 6. Members of /sen/ are called “Senator”, or “/sen/ator”. 7. The second chamber of the Parliament (/rep/) is called “(8chan) House (of Representatives)”, or “(8chan) HoR”. 8. Members of /rep/ are called “Representative”, or “/rep/resentative”. Human Status The People of Parliament has 9 different statuses; 1. Owner and Volunteers (a.k.a Managers) a. They are N OT Members of Parliament but instead “Managers” of Parliament. b. Owners can punish Volunteers for misbehaviors. 2. Anonymous (nonseated) (a.k.a strangers or nonmembers) a. They are N OT Members of Parliament. b. No name or tripcode is required to be Anonymous. c. They can vote in elections using ID numbers. d. They can express opinions on Tripfag threads. e. They can neither vote on actions nor start thread without notifying Managers. 3. Citizen Tripfag (nonseated, electionfree) (a.k.a. citizen or voter) a. They are N OT Members of Parliament. b. Simillar to Anonymous but need to enter name and tripcode. c. They get to have private replies from senate if email or contact info is given. 4. Observer Tripfag (reporter, electionfree) (a.k.a Observers) a. They are N OT Members of Parliament but consultants. b. Simillar to Anonymous but need to enter name and tripcode. c. They get to have public replies and private replies. 9. Dead/Banned/Silenced/Censored Tripfag a. People who are punished by the court to be silenced for disrupting The Parliament, which includes exManagers and exMembers. Management : 1. Management of Parliament is done by Managers. 2. All crimes will be judged by the Court and the Managers can Veto their decisions. 3. Managers can punish people based on violation of global rules or Parliament laws. 4. Violation of global rules will result in a ban, and the ccontents will be deleted. Edits and typo correction 1. Managers can only edit others post upon request (on the edit thread) of the poster by strikethrough old text and add new ones next to them. 2. Typo correction is excluded from this rule and can be directly edited out upon request (on the edit thread). 3. Managers breaking these rules will be punished. Titles for Members 1. All Members are allowed to have titles, but the titles cannot give extra political power. 2. Citizens, Managers and Observers are forbidden to have titles. 3. Members who have titles can optout to remove their titles. IRC safety and regulations 1. The IRC channel #/sen/ and #/rep/ are part of the Parliament, therefore the Constitution applies to these IRC channels. 2. At least four of the seven political sects shall each have a “Tribute” to keep a recorder bot within #/sen/ and #/rep/ to create logs, and that they shall keep the logs public in pastebins. 3. Managers must make sure that no Tributes or other Managers either: a. locking IRC out of public access, or b. highjacking, spamming or pranking on IRC, or c. manipulating logs without reporting publically. 4. If Tributes and Managers are unable to keep recorder bots in order, then there shall be a channelwide ban of all IRC bots. 5. No outsiders can keep bots, perform the 4Ts or the 4As within the IRC, or else they will be kicked, and multiple offences will result in a ban in both the board and the IRC.
