The game is set for a 7 p.m. MT tip. N10 vs. Nevada W, 87-61 N13 at Alabama L, 65-60 Utes and the WNIT: Utah is 11-12 all-time in the WNIT and 2-2 under the direction of head coach Lynne Rob- N17 at Weber State W, 85-58 erts. Utah advanced to the third round of the tournament in Roberts’ first season (2015-16), but fell to UC Davis N20 vs. Purdue W, 81-68 in the first round last year. N24 vs. Incarnate Word W, 90-31 N27 vs. UT Arlington W, 71-41 About the Lady Rebels: The UNLV Lady Rebels are sitting at 19-11 overall and finished the Mountain West Conference season 14-4, winning its first regular-season MW title. Its 14 conference wins was a school record, D2 vs. Saint Mary’s W, 74-63 leading them to their 11th WNIT appearance. The Lady Rebels are led by three players averaging double-digits, D5 vs. Pepperdine W, 89-65 including senior guard Brooke Johnson, who is pouring in 16.1 points per game. Center Katie Powell is also D9 at BYU L, 77-68 recording 15.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game with junior Nikki Wheatley contributing 13.8 points and 6.5 D18 at Utah State W, 79-44 rebounds per contest.     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Men’s and Women’s Basketball Candidates Announced for the 2018-19 Senior CLASS Award OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (November 30, 2018) – Sixty NCAA® men’s and women’s basketball student-athletes who excel both on and off the court were selected as candidates today for the 2018-19 Senior CLASS Award® in collegiate basketball. To be eligible for the award, a student- athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition. The complete list of candidates follows this release. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School ®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. Among the 60 candidates, all are in excellent academic standing with 13 having grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher. Twenty-five athletes are returning to the court this season after receiving All-America honors, and 54 of the candidates earned all-conference honors for their performances a year ago. Each of the candidates also volunteers his or her time with charitable organizations and causes while upholding a reputation for positive character on campus and in the community. The men’s and women’s candidates will be narrowed to two fields of 10 finalists in February, and those names will be placed on the official ballot.
