OUR JUNGLE HOUSE

Location: Presidente Figueiredo, Brazil Inspiring Conservation Travel Experiences

A center for ecotourism, research and conservation, this rustic yet comfortable family-owned rainforest lodge sits in an utterly secluded setting on a private 741-acre reserve in the highlands northern of Brazilian Amazon. Tucked deep within the primary rainforest just 2 hours’ drive from Manaus, this lodge offers guests an immersion in the living, breathing jungle and fresh jungle-to-table dining.

OUR ROOM STYLES

The house provides accommodation for a maximum of ten people housed in ﬁve comfortable wooden cabins containing: a pair of twin beds (80cmx2m), which can be joined to create a double if desired, and triples for small families with a young child; private bathrooms equipped with a shower and ﬂush toilet, and a bright and airy sitting veranda. The idea is to have fun and to feel at home. Our house is built with locally low-impact materials. Our Group Expeditions allow you to explore some of the most remote and pristine places in the Brazilian Amazon, combining different kinds of lodging and activities. They have established departure dates. The ﬁtness demanded for the expedition experience outings is usually medium to high. We keep our group size to a maximum of 10 guests so that we can move with agility and enjoy every place we visit in depth. This is the most demanding and true to life jungle Hiking Extreme Rainforest Adventure. It is deep in pristine jungle in a truly awesome setting. In the jungle you will set up your own hammock in the trees, we will take you through all the skills you need to find water, make shelter, light a fire and procure food. You will be eating some strange and tasty bugs, starting fires without matches or lighters, recognizing water vines, fishing, and a whole lot more. Our aim is to make this expedition as close to the real thing as possible, while keeping you safe at all times of course.

PICO DA NEBLINA CAMP TREK 16 Days / Year-Round Inspiring Conservation Travel Experiences

ACCOMMODATIONS Inspiring Conservation Travel Experiences

NOMAD TENT CAMP

Comfortable tents (2.50m2) with ample dome and lighting at night. With delight bedrolls, made up with ﬁne cotton linen perfect for the weather, provide the best sleeping experience. Expedition capacity are 5 shared tents (max. 10 guests), offering a portable shower and a private loo. Our main area has a dining table, camp chairs, coffee & tea station, bar and of course a ﬁre at night.

HAMMOCK BASE CAMPS

Our hammock base camps at the edge of the rainforest are built with natural local materials. The camps consists of wooden tents where up to 10 people can easily sleep in our hammocks with mosquito nets among pristine primary rainforest while living with and learning about the Amazonian people and their unique way of life. MEETING OF THE WATERS Half Day / Year-Round

The Meeting of Waters is the conﬂuence between the dark Rio Negro and the pale sandy-colored Amazon River, referred to as the Solimões River in Brazil upriver of this conﬂuence. For 6 km the two rivers’ waters run side by side without mixing.
