For Immediate Release: On October 11th, Three Dog Night will bring over four decades of music to the Stambaugh Auditorium Concert Hall. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 7th at 10AM through the Stambaugh Auditorium Box Office.

Three Dog Night was formed in 1968. From 1969 to 1975, they had 21 Billboard Top 40 Hits with three reaching No. 1. Their No. 1 hits include: Black & White, Joy to the World, and Mama Told Me (Not to Come).

This will be Three Dog Night’s first full performance in Youngstown in over a decade. The band’s members have changed throughout the years, but founding members and have remained constants. Original guitarist , Paul Kingery (bass & vocals), and Pat Bautz (drums) complete the group.

Three Dog Night recorded music by “undiscovered” writers at the time including , , , , Paul Williams, and . Three Dog Night recently recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. This pairing coincided with the groups 35th Anniversary. They have added new songs to their repertoire by releasing their first double-A sided single in almost 25 years.

After a brief hiatus in the late , a reunion in the early 80s kept them touring internationally. Since 1986, they have performed over 2,200 shows including two Super Bowls. Their touring schedule includes over 70 dates per year.

About Stambaugh Auditorium: Stambaugh Auditorium is a non-profit public auditorium which opened in 1926 through the generous gift of Youngstown area businessman Henry H. Stambaugh. The centerpiece of the complex is the Concert Hall which has a seating capacity of 2,553 and is renowned for its near perfect acoustics. The auditorium also features a 9,700-square-foot ballroom (Jeanne D. Tyler Grand Ballroom), a recital hall (The Anne Christman Memorial Hall), and a formal garden at the southern end of the building, all of which can be rented for public, business, or private functions.
