Keep stable groups separate Groups should avoid mixing with other groups as much as possible Limit specialist to only seeing select groups consistently

Limit physical contact Focus on activities that limit physical contact such as running, and nature hikes

Limit sharing equipment Limit contact with equipment as much as possible If using equipment keep those using it consistent until cleaned

Encourage low risk and skill-building Encourage skill building where campers can stay in a stationary location 6ft apart from others Encourage campers to use personal equipment during skill building, limiting sharing

Enhance cleaning and disinfecting Routinely clean equipment after each group uses it Have campers before and after using equipment Distancing Strategies

[ 3 ] Offense and Defense Player Zones Description: Players on each team are bound to a specific zone. Use floor tape of cones to create zones Used For: Team Sports

Activity Example: Human Foosball

Teams line up across from each other with each player having their own space. Players are now allowed to exit their space or enter the space of another player (on their team or the other team). Teams line up in alternating lines

O O O O O O x x x O O O Tag Zones Description: Instead of physically tagging each other, campers will run to designated areas. The camper who is able to get to their "tag zone" first wins the tag Used For: Tag Games

Activity Example: Mr. Fox

Campers line up at one end of the space and the coach, acting as the fox, stands at the other end of the space Campers will ask "What time is it Mr. Fox?" and the fox will reply with a time, "3 o'clock" Both the fox and campers will take steps forward according to the time (3 steps) When the fox yells "lunch time!" both the fox and campers will turn and run back to their starting zones/tag zones Any camper who hasn't gotten back to their tag zone before the fox has reached theirs is now a fox

x T x x Throwing to Kicking Description: Modify games that require balls or objects to be thrown to kicking Used For: Kickball, Dodge ball variations and throwing games

Activity Example: Castle Ball

Use cones to divide your space into two equal sides Each side will have two hula hoop castles Campers on each side will try to kick gatorskin balls to knock over the other teams castles If a teams castle is knocked over, they are not able to rebuild it The round is over and a team wins when they are able to knock over both of the other teams castles at the same time Campers are able to defend their castles and remain in the game if they are hit by a ball

Activity Example: Fishy, Fishy

Campers line up across one end of the space, with one camper in the middle zone as the shark The shark in the middle will call out "fishy, fishy cross my ocean" The fish will try to run to one end to the space to the other without getting tagged by the shark The shark will try to tag campers using a pool noodle The shark is only allowed to stay within their tagging zone, and must tag fishy as they cross through If a fish is tagged they become another shark

Teach and demonstrate to campers each individual skill Have campers practice each dribble skill on their own After a practice period create a challenge requiring campers to combine all the skills into one full motion Skills: Right hand dribble Left hand dribble Crossovers Right hand walk the dog Left hand walk the dog Through the legs Behind the back

Activity Example: Hot Spot Relay

Place poly spots in a zig zag pattern for each team Campers will go through the pattern one at a time. When they reach the end of pattern the next camper on line for their team will go Campers will have to hop from poly spot to poly spot without touching the floor If a camper misses a poly spot they must go back to the beginning and start ahain

Theme Events: The Incredibles Challenge Scavaganza Scavaganza Equipment: Scavenger Hunt List

Instructions:

Create a list of various tasks for camper to complete Divide campers into groups or teams Teams will be award points for each task completed from the scavaganza list Teams should document through photo or video completion of each task The team who is able to complete the most task or recieves the most points is the winner

Example Tasks:

Spell out Camp with your bodies Take a photo in front of a brick wall Run around a baseball diamond Create wacky hair for the whole group Help clean a run Make 5 free throws as a team The Incredibles Challenge Equipment: Uno Cards, Rainbow Buckets, Poly Spots, Hula Hoops, Sequence Sheets

Instructions:

Campers will put their super hero powers to the test, compete in various Incredibles Challenges Campers will work to complete a challenge for each of the Incredible characters Event should be a fun inclusive group activity to get everyone moving and active

Mr. Incredible:

Using a deck of UNO cards, assign each color card a different exercise (jumping jacks, planks, high knees, etc.) Campers will perform a set number of exercise based on the card color they select

Dash:

Start at one end of the space with all 6 rainbow bucks Run as fast as you can bringing one bucket at a time to the other end of the sapce until all 6 are in a formation

Mrs. Incredible:

Assign each poly spot a yoga pose Go around to each spot holding each pose for 5 to 8 seconds

Violet:

Create acrobatic sequences using hula hoops Campers will select a hoop and follow along with the posted sequences Week 2: Game Show

Theme Events: NFL, Punt, Kiss, Pass The Amazing Race Day NFL, Punt, Pass, Kick Equipment: Football, Distance Marker

Instructions:

Groups will compete in various football challenges throughout the week. Challenges will incorporate, punting, , throwing Challenges can be individual, or contribute to week long team points or goals Campers will compete in the punt, pass, kick challenge which measures how many yards they can accumulate with 1 punt, 1 kick and 1 throw.

Punt, Pass, Kick Challenge:

Each camper will get to take 1 punt, 1 kick and 1 throw From a designated starting spot the distance of each punt, kick and throw is taken The campers total is their punt+pick+throw = total The Amazing Race Equipment: Clue Cards, Sports Equipment

Instructions:

Divide campers into various teams to travel through a multi stage relay race Teams will follow clues to different locations At each location teams will follow the clue card to complete a challenge to receive their next clue The first team to reach the end of the race is the winner Each Team will follow their own path throughout the race, visiting each location once (*each location should have at least 2 stations in case more than 1 team are at a location at the same time.)

Clue Types:

Team Task - the whole team must work together to complete a single task Relay races, learn a team dance, target throwing Road Block - Only a certain number a team members from each team can work to complete the task path of life (3 campers), place theme weeks in order (2 campers) Detour - Teams must choose between two tasks and work together to complete one of them score 10 goals or 10 baskets

Instructions:

Throughout the week campers will work in their group to create and design a new invention The invention can be an improve on a current product or something new all together At the end of the week groups will present their invention in a shark tank style to judges Judges will decide which invention they would like to invest in and how much they would like to invest

Instructions:

Divide campers into equal groups Each group will decide which team members will complete each task of the relay The team member at the first station will start with the torch After completing their tasks, campers will run one lap around the arena before passing the torch off to their teammate at the next station After the last station is completed, campers will run one lap around the arena and the enter the middle and place their torch in the holder. The first team will be the winner Stations:

Jump Rope: successfully complete 10 jumps Hula Hoop Castle: build and collapse a hula hoop castle 2 times Memory Match: match 3-4 pairs of symbols tapped under poly spots Cup Stacking: build and collapse a stack of 6 cups 3 times

Instructions:

Campers will compete in a variety of individual skill challenges that incorporate, shooting, passing and dribbling Combining the skills practiced in shooting, passing and dribbling campers will compete in a basketball skills showcase Campers will have the opportunity to run throw the showcase, trying to be the fastest to complete the challenges along the way Each challenge successfully complete will subtract time from their total (completed pass = -2 secs, hitting target in net = -3 seconds)

Skill Challenges:

Shooting: play hot shot - campers shot from designated distances for points Passing: set up passing targets on the wall using wall tape or with hula hoops hanging for campers to pass through Dribble: create a dribble sequence challenge or play game such as dribble knockout

Instructions:

Campers will collect and piece together treasure map pieces that will lead them to the treasure The treasure map should be broken into various puzzle pieces, with each piece leading you to the next piece As pieces are collect, campers will put them together to figure out where they have to go next This could be do as a race between groups are as an activity for groups to do on their own

Instructions:

Campers will compete in a variety of individual skill challenges that incorporate, shooting, passing and dribbling Combining the skills practiced in shooting, passing and dribbling campers will compete in a hockey skills showcase Campers will have the opportunity to run throw the showcase, trying to be the fastest to complete the challenges along the way Each challenge successfully complete will subtract time from their total (completed pass = -2 secs, hitting target in net = -3 seconds)

Shooting: hang cones from net as targets - campers have 5 shots to get as many points as possible Passing: campers must pass puck through small gates created with cones - stand in one spot and pass to various distances and angles Dribble: campers must move puck in and out of a cone course

Instructions:

Campers will compete in a end of the week talent show Campers can compete in groups or as individuals Campers can show case a talent, perform a skit, or perform a dance Camp Directors / Specialist will act as judges to crown a winner Winners can be based on performance, enthusiasm/spirit, creativity, etc.

Theme Events: Cricket World Cup Building Bonanza Luau Party Cricket World Cup Equipment: Small Ball, Bin, Bat, Poly Spots or Hula Hoops

Instructions:

Divide campers into equal teams to compete in a cricket world cup The tourcmanet can be a one day event or can run throughout the week Teams can earn points throughout the week by earning points or the can play in a bracket style tournament

Cricket:

Place a poly spot at one end of the space and the bin at the other, with another poly spot between the two The fielding team will line up with one pitcher (at the middle poly spot) and 1 catcher (to the side of the bin) and the rest of the team spread out in the playing area The pitcher bounces the ball trying to hit the bin (without the ball rolling). If they hit the target they batter is out. If the batter hits the ball they will run around the spot at the other end of the gym coming back getting ready to swing again. When the ball is hit the fielding team must get the ball back to the pitcher who will try and throw the ball and hit the bin before the batter is able to hit it again. The batter keeps hitting and running until they are out. If they hit the ball and it is caught in the air, they are out. Teams switch after everyone has had a chance to bat or after a certain number of outs. Building Bonanza Equipment: Cardboard, Recycled Materials (bottles, cans)

Instructions:

Working in their groups, campers will use various materials to create and build their own projects Projects can be anything they want but must be built from scratch Throughout the week groups can create, blueprints, collect materials and the finally build On Building Bonanza day groups will be judged on their creativity, resourcefulness, teamwork and completion.

Instructions:

Celebrate the end of the week with a Luau party Bring groups together to compete in various Luau themed events Celebrate with events, music and food

Beach Ball Hockey:

Divide campers into two teams Players will use pool noodles to try and score a beach ball into the opposing teams goal Teams will play with 7 players with substitutes on the side

Hula Hoop Contest:

Campers can compete as individuals or in groups as a team Campers enter various challenges throughout the luau to be group hula hoop champion longest time most hula hoops at a time moving while race using arms or legs Week 7: CAMP-A- PALOOZA

[ 31 ] Hopscotch Relay Equipment: Hopscotch Templates/Hopscotch Ladders or Poly Spots, Cones

Instructions:

Place hopscotch template in the middle of two cones Campers will start in a line at one cone One at a time campers will move through the hopscotch board - hopping on 1 foot on a single square and jumping on 2 feet on 2 squares Campers will go through the hopscotch board run around the opposite cone and then return to their line

Visual: Frog Catcher Equipment: Hula Hoops, Bean Bags

Instructions:

To start place hula hoops around the area and spread out bean bags Campers will each start inside on of the hula hoops and the coach will act as the frog catcher When the game starts the campers (frogs) will hop/leap around to collect as many insects (beanbags) as possible without being tagged Once the frogs leave their lily pads (hula hoops) they can be tagged. Frogs can only collect one insect at a time and must return it to their lily pad before retrieve another If a frog is tagged by the frog catcher they must do 5 jumping jacks before returning to the game Frogs are safe from being tagged when on a lily pad.

Instructions:

Place a different colored hula hoop in each corner of the space Spread out bean bags (same color as the hoops) in the middle of the hoops Campers start spread out around the outside of the activity space When the coach signals to start, campers will pick up one bean bag at a time and bring it to the appropriate colored hoop. Round ends once all bean bags are in their hoop Coach can ask campers to perform a certain locomotor movement (jump, hop, skip) or to act like an animal (snake, crab, bear) when moving through the space.

Instructions:

Using a parachute perform various activities with campers that work on different locomotor movements Make sure all campers are evenly spaced around the parachute

Storm Bringer:

Campers will create small waves around the chute by gently moving hands up and down Gradually increase intensity until campers are shaking the chute up and down, creating big stormy waves

Merry-Go-Round:

Holding the chute with one hand have all campers stand sideways, facing the same direction Campers will move in a circle holding onto the chute and perform a desired locomotor movement (walk, hop, jump, skip)

Microwave Popcorn:

Place objects in the middle of the chute (bean bags, stuffed animals, gator balls) Shaking the chute up and down campers will try to make the objects on the chute pop off like popcorn

Catapul:

Place 1 gator ball in the middle of the chute Working together campers try and catapult the ball as high as then can into the air, by bringing the chute down and up together at the same time Animal Walks Equipment: Cones, Music (optional)

Instructions:

Use cones to create to ends of the space Campers will start spread out along the line at one end of the space When the Coach signals to start campers will perform various animal walks from one line to the other

Bear Walk:

Campers walk on their hands and feet as if a bear Front of campers body should be facing the ground with their hands in front and their bottom up in the air

Penguin Walk:

Keep arms straight by your side and take short, quick steps Encourage walking on their heels to waddle like a penquin

Tiger Crawl:

Campers will crawl on their hands and knees like a tiger Encourage them to stay low to the ground like a tiger on the prowl in the jungle

Duck Walk:

Campers squat down and walk around from that position Keep arms out for or bend them to look like wings

Seal Slide:

Campers lie on their stomach and push up on their hands until their arms are straight Use the arms to move forward campers move dragging their legs like a seal Be Free and Do Like

EMquipmeent: Poly Spots, Music

Instructions:

Campers will start spread out in their own space Use poly spots to help spread out campers Use music to help engage and re gain attention of campers Campers will imitate different movement demonstrated by the Coach

Example Movements:

Jump up and down Jump side to side Hop (on one foot at a time, alternate left to right) Walk at different speeds, directions, and patterns (shapes, zigzag, etc.) Skip (step, hop, step, hop...) Jump (take off and land on two feet) Create various pose (tree, tiger, statue, etc.) Gallop (step, slide, step, slide...) Sea, Shore, Shells Equipment: Poly Spots, Music

Instructions:

Introduce and teach to campers the eagle yoga pose Establish a home base at one end of the space and a marker at the other end of the space The coach will give out different commands for campers to follow, each command will signify a different action

Commands:

Sea: Frog Jump (or any locomotor movement) to the opposite end of the space Shore: Gallop (or any locomotor movement) to the home base Shells: Strike the Eagle pose (or any yoga pose previously taught) for 3 seconds or more Bean Bag A to Z Fun Equipment: Bean Bags, Music

Instructions:

Campers will each start in their own space with a bean bag When the music starts campers will move around doing their own dance moves When the music stops the coach will move through the alphabet one letter at a time having campers perform the action paired to each letter

Instructions:

Set up the space with half the cones standing up and the other half knocked down Divide campers into two groups, one that will knock down the cones that are standing up and one that will set up the cones that are knocked down When the coach signals go, campers will move throughout the space either setting up or knocking down the cones When the coach signals stop, campers will count how many are knocked down and how many are standing up to see how many points their team got

[ 41 ] Switch Equipment: Hula Hoops

Instructions:

To start place 5 hula hoops with one in each corner and the last one in the middle One camper will start in each of the 4 corner hoops with the rest of the group lined up on the side The first camper on line will enter the middle hoop and say "switch" On "switch" all 5 campers in the hoops will try to move to one of the 4 corner hoops (you must leave your hoop and enter a new one) The one camper who is not able to get into a corner hoop will go to the end of the line and the next round will start

Instructions:

X X March, Attack Equipment: None

Instructions:

Campers are divided into two teams, marchers and attackers and line up across opposite ends of the space Attackers call out a "march" command and the march side starts moving forward When the attacking side gives the "attack" command the marches will turn and try to run back to their side before being tagged If a camper is tagged they join the other team After each round the marchers and attackers roles switch

Instructions:

To start divide the space in half with one hula hoop in the back center of each side Campers will be divide into two teams Teams will start on opposite ends and will assign one camper to be the "wizard" for their team who will start inside the hula hoop on their side Using gatorskin balls teams try to hit the other teams wizard The wizard can not be hit when inside their hula hoop If a player is hit with a ball below the shoulders they are frozen To get unfrozen a player must be tagged by their team's wizard A team wins when they are able to hit the other team's wizard or they are able to freeze all members of the other team (minus the wizard)

X X X X Pin Striker Equipment: Cones, Bowling Pins, Gatorskin Balls

Instructions:

To start divide the space in half with three bowling pins on each side Using gatorskin balls teams roll or throw balls to knock over the other teams pins If a pin is knocked over teams are not allowed to stand it back up, it must remain down Once a team can knock down all 3 pins of the other teams the win Teams can defend their pins, but the are not allowed to touch them

Instructions:

Campers start lined up across one end of the space Half way from one end of the space to the other, the coach stands off to the side with gatorballs When the coach yells out "fireball" campers will run from one end of the space to other trying to avoid being hit by a ball The coach will roll the ball trying to hit the camper's feet Once campers make it to the other end of the space they are safe If a camper is hit in the foot they join the coach on the side and will roll balls with the coach

Instructions:

Campers are divided into two teams with one team on each side of the space Using gatorskin balls players try to to hit players on the other team If a player is hit from the shoulders down they move over to the other team's side If a ball is caught in the air after being thrown the player who originally threw the ball joins the other team The first team that gets every player on their side wins

Instructions:

Campers are divided into two teams, a kicking and fielding team The first player on the kicking team kicks the ball out into the field After retrieving the ball the fielding team arranges themselves into a straight line and passes the ball from the front to back in an over under fashion (over head, through legs, over head...) After kicking the ball, the kicking team forms a circle and the player who kicks the ball runs around the circle A point is awarded to the kicking team for every lap the kicker is able to make around the circle before the fielding team is able to pass the ball to the end of their line
