Boston Public Library Museum Pass Program Borrowing and Circulating Information

The following museum passes are available from all Public Library Locations:  Children's Museum (discounted pass - half-price per person, will admit up to 4 people)  Harvard Museum of Natural History (discounted pass - $4.00 entry fee per person, will admit up to 4 visitors)  Museum of Fine Arts (discounted pass - $7.00 entry fee per person, will admit up to 2 people to general admission) Sponsored by the Museum of Fine Arts and the City-Wide Friends of the .  Museum of Science (free pass - will admit up to 4 people)  Aquarium (free pass - will admit up to 4 people; Sept. - June only) Sponsored by the New England Aquarium and the City-Wide Friends of the Boston Public Library.  Wheelock Family Theatre (Certain restrictions apply, contact your local branch for information) The following museum passes are available only at the location(s) listed:  Harvard Art Museums - Faneuil, Honan-, and  The Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) - Jamaica Plain  Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum - Central Library and Jamaica Plain  Larz Anderson Auto Museum - Jamaica Plain  John F Kennedy Library and Museum - Jamaica Plain  Zoo New England - Connolly, Dudley, Egleston, Faneuil, Honan-Allston, Hyde Park, , , and (discounted pass - $2.00 entry fee per person, will admit up to 2 adults & 4 children; pass also good for 10% discount at concessions and in gift store) Each location has one pass per day, per museum. All passes must be reserved by an adult or teen with a valid Metro-Boston library card.* Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Guidelines Booking passes in advance is suggested. You may book a for Pass Use pass in person or by phone. Passes will not be reserved more than four weeks in advance. Please contact your neighborhood branch or the General Library (Johnson

Building) for more information. You must have a valid* Metro-Boston library card to reserve and use the passes. Some museums have provided the library with disposable passes that are for one use only, and others have given the library re-usable passes that must be returned to the library. All re-usable passes must be checked out on your library card. The person who reserved the pass must be the one to pick up the pass. You may pick up the museum pass the day of use. Exception: Passes reserved for Sunday may be picked up on the Friday or Saturday preceding the Sunday reservation date. The pass must be returned the next day the library is open. It must be returned to the same library where you picked it up. Please do not return the pass in a bookbin. If passes are not returned on time, your pass privileges will be revoked for 3 months. In order to ensure fair distribution of passes, the following restrictions apply:

1. More than one pass may not be booked by the same person or family for the same day. 2. You may not book the same pass multiple times in the same month.

*A valid Metro-Boston library card is a card that has under $10.00 in overdue fines and no overdue books.
