Marymount Manhattan College’s Student Newspaper Volume 20, Issue 3 October 10, 2017 MMC’s inagural Griffins Give Day By Jessie Fillare Features Editor

On Wednesday, October 11, Marymount Manhattan College will be bustling with excitement and school spirit. This will be the debut of Griffins Give Day, where alumni, parents, friends, and Grif- fins will unite together to make a difference for MMC. On this spe- cial day, no gift size is too small, and no amount of school pride is too much. Any and all support can make a difference in students’ lives. Hosted by MMC’s Office of Institutional Advancement, Grif- fins Give is this year replacing the Phonathon program, where a group of students would call parents and alumni to inquire about charitable donations to the College. Phona- thon happened once each semester and last for a number of weeks. This year, the IA office decided to switch things up a bit and try out just one day of giving instead to increase Photo from Carly Lynch both impact and school pride.
