Incoming Freshmen must rank in top 75% of graduating class OR score 900 on SAT (Math and Evidence-based Reading and Writing Sections only) OR score 19 on ACT OR graduate from a SC high school with a final GPA of 2.0 on the SC Uniform Grading Policy. Continuing students who enroll full-time for the Fall & Spring Terms must pass 24 credit hours per year AND meet the college’s Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements. AP/Dual Enrollment credits from high school may count toward this requirement during the freshman year. GRANT AMOUNTS FOR 2017-2018

The mission of the South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is to recruit talented high school seniors into the teaching profession and help them develop leadership qualities. Background

Each year, the program provides Fellowships for up to 200 high school seniors who have exhibited high academic achievement, a history of service to their school and community, and a desire to teach in South Carolina. Preparation

Teaching Fellows participate in advanced enrichment programs at Teaching Fellows Institutions, have additional professional development opportunities, and are involved with communities and businesses throughout the state. Fellowship

Teaching Fellows receive up to $24,000, in yearly scholarships (up to $6000 a year for four years) while they complete a degree leading to teacher licensure.
