En eau libre comme en plongeon où trois Français ont décroché le titre continental aux championnats d’Europe de Kiev en juin dernier, l’attente est énorme, à la mesure du talent des athlètes et de leur encadrement. Quant à l’équipe de France de natation synchronisée, elle profitera de l’occasion pour poser des bases solides en vue des futures échéances qui la mèneront jusqu’aux prochains Jeux Olym- piques. Une équipe jeune, ambitieuse et renouvelée, qui s’engage et s’investit avec ambition dans de nouveaux projets. En water-polo, la dernière participation des deux équipes de France féminine et masculine aux championnats du monde date de 1991 à Perth.
