Brendan Robertson is in his first year as an Assistant Sports Information Director at USC Aiken. Robertson was an intern with the Sports Information Office at USCA in the spring of 2009. Robertson also works as a production assistant at WAGT - NBC 26 Augusta. A native of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, Brendan lived in Charleston, S.C. before moving to Aiken. He was the sports editor of USCA’s student newspaper – Pacer Times – for the past two years. He is the play-by-play voice for the live webcasts of all the men’s and women’s basketball home games.

As USC Aiken Athletics has grown, its place in context of the University as a whole has evolved. With heightened importance comes the need for new tools for success. The Convocation Center, opened in April 2007, is the grandest tool yet that will equip the Pacer programs with opportunities to succeed. A vision some 15 years in the making, the construction of the facil- ity came to fruition only because of the dedicated, hard work of campus and community leaders. As everyone bought into the idea, the resources were raised to make this dream a reality. Funding for the $17 million, 100,000 square foot facility came from both public and private sources. That will not be the case this year.” The depth does not come easy as Cox hit the recruiting trail hard during the offseason to continue his efforts to bring the USC Aiken volleyball program back to the top of the Peach Belt Conference. “We had a really good recruiting year last year,” said Cox. “To be honest, to begin my second year we are really ahead of where I thought we would be by now.
