Background At the time of the review, FSCI (Fuel Supplies CI Limited) was the sole supplier of aviation fuel at Jersey and Guernsey airports. However since the beginning of September, there have been significant changes to the fuel supply arrangements at Jersey Airport. Prior to this change, FSCI operated the airport fuel facilities at each airport, and was the single importer, retailer and distributor of aviation fuel in Jersey and Guernsey. Two grades of aviation fuel are used in the Channel Islands; Jet A1 (also known as kerosine/kerosene) used by jet or turbo-prop aircraft, and Avgas (also known as gasoline) used for private or light aircraft. -

meeting CROSS SERVICE AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS SELECT COMMITTEE date 11 April 2005 agenda item number Report of the Chair of the Cross Service and External Affairs Select Committee Robin Hood Airport Study Group – Final Report Purpose of report 1 The purpose of this report is to inform the Cross Service and External Affairs Select Committee of the findings and recommendations, based on the evidence from this study, of the Committee’s Robin Hood Airport Study Group. 2 In July 2004 the Select Committee agreed to develop an evidence-based study of Robin Hood Airport – Doncaster Sheffield. The Committee decided to focus on the impact of the airport on Nottinghamshire as a whole, and to look particularly at the following issues in relation to the airport: • Highway and Transportation issues relating to the airport – including access and public transport issues. • Regeneration, economic development, job opportunities, and training issues • Impact on residents living near to the airport • Impact on Nottingham East Midlands Airport • Local investment, including impact on businesses and in-bound tourism 3 A Study Group was set up to develop and examine the findings from this study; the Members of the Study Group were Councillor Roy Barsley, Councillor Sue Bennett, Councillor Martin Brandon – Bravo OBE, Councillor Kenneth Bullivant, Councillor E Llewellyn – Jones, Councillor James Napier, and Councillor Sheila Place. Officer support was provided by Lynn Senior, Head of Scrutiny, and Trish Adams, Culture and Community Department. A number of other officers from the County Council’s Culture and Community, 1 Environment, and Education Departments, also greatly assisted the Select Committee by providing information and/or presenting information at meetings for this study. -

They help you to complete and submit a General Aviation Report (GAR) and inform you about the types of airport you can use to make your journey. The instructions explain: - What a General Aviation Report (GAR) is What powers are used to require a report Where aircraft can land and take off When you are asked to submit a General Aviation Report (GAR); When, how and where to send the GAR How to complete the GAR How GAR information is used Custom requirements when travelling to the UK The immigration and documentation requirements to enter the UK What to do if you see something suspicious What is a General Aviation Report (GAR)? General Aviation pilots, operators and owners of aircraft making Common Travel Area2 and international journeys in some circumstances are required to report their expected journey to the Police and/or the Border Force command of the Home Office. Border Force and the Police request that the report is made using a GAR. The GAR helps Border Force and the Police in securing the UK border and preventing crime and terrorism. What powers are used to require a report? Introduction 1.1 This Statement of Common Ground (SoCG) is between Peel L&P, Doncaster Sheffield Airport Limited (DSAL) and Doncaster Council (hereafter referred to collectively as “the parties”) and relates to the examination of the Doncaster Local Plan. The SoCG has been developed jointly by the parties. Overview 1.2 Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) is located approximately 9km south east of Doncaster town centre and lies in close proximity to the settlements of Auckley – Hayfield Green. It is also closely related to Finningley to the east and Rossington to the west, which connects to DSA via the Great Yorkshire Way (GYW). The site is entirely within the administrative boundary of Doncaster Council. 1.3 Doncaster is located at the heart of the UK’s major motorway network, with connectivity to the A1, M1, M62 and Humber ports via the M18 and M180. DSA is directly connected to the M18 by the Great Yorkshire Way link road. The recent completion of GYW phase 2 has delivered a transformative improvement in access between the airport and the wider city region, resulting in an increased catchment of 5.53 million people1. -

New Hampshire State Airport System Plan Update CHAPTER 2 - AIRPORT SYSTEM INVENTORY 2.1 INTRODUCTION This chapter describes the existing airport system in New Hampshire as of the end of 2001 and early 2002 and served as the database for the overall System Plan. As such, it was updated throughout the course of the study. This Chapter focuses on the aviation infrastructure that makes up the system of airports in the State, as well as aviation activity, airport facilities, airport financing, airspace and air traffic services, as well as airport access. Chapter 3 discusses the general economic conditions within the regions and municipalities that are served by the airport system. The primary purpose of this data collection and analysis was to provide a comprehensive overview of the aviation system and its key elements. These elements also served as the basis for the subsequent recommendations presented for the airport system. The specific topics covered in this Chapter include: S Data Collection Process S Airport Descriptions S Airport Financing S Airport System Structure S Airspace and Navigational Aids S Capital Improvement Program S Definitions S Scheduled Air Service Summary S Environmental Factors 2.2 DATA COLLECTION PROCESS The data collection was accomplished through a multi-step process that included cataloging existing relevant literature and data, and conducting individual airport surveys and site visits. Division of Aeronautics provided information from their files that included existing airport master plans, FAA Form 5010 Airport Master Records, financial information, and other pertinent data. Two important element of the data collection process included visits to each of the system airports, as well as surveys of airport managers and users.
