The fantastic £12 million building is home to state-of-the-art studios, workshops and facilities including an iMac Suite, an Art Shop selling a range of materials, sketch books, paint brushes, card and paper and gallery exhibition space on two floors. Delivered at (visit bmet.ac.uk to confirm availability) 13 Birmingham Botanical Gardens In the beautiful surroundings of the Botanical Gardens, you will find our Study Centre which gives you a real sense of what it’s like working in the great outdoors. Working alongside experts you will be out and about whatever the weather. We are the only college in the city offering qualifications in conservation, countryside management, environmental studies, horticulture and floristry and our classes are taught by experts who still work in the BBG sector across the region. 14 Centre of Sporting Excellence Based on the outskirts of Kidderminster at Brinton’s Field. This is our specialist site for our football academy in partnership with Kidderminster Harriers Football Club. The facilities include access to six football pitches, a ‘trophy’ pitch and a gym all spread over 40 acres of land. Alongside the sports courses Foundation Learning offer courses in horticulture and catering. CoSE Delivered at (visit bmet.ac.uk to confirm availability) 15 Erdington Skills Centre The Erdington Skills Centre offers a range of Level 1 and 2 construction courses. The Skills Centre has had a major investment and now offers purpose built facilities including classrooms and workshops which have been specifically designed to house training rooms for all of the construction trades. This includes painting and decorating, plastering, carpentry and joinery and electrical workshops as well as general training rooms. ESC 16 JWC James Watt College Refurbished in 2015, James Watt College features outstanding facilities for games development and media students - now with its own TV and media suites. There’s also state-of the-art hair and beauty salons, new facilities for sports and public services and some excellent engineering and construction workshops. It was created from an industrial building nicknamed the Piano Building because of its shape and recently won an award for its innovative conversion. It’s not like any other college; bare brick, glass walls and large scale installations all go together to make it a truly inspirational space. 18 MBC Matthew Boulton College The impressive Matthew Boulton College is in the heart of Birmingham city centre.
