No. 224 BY REPKESENI’ArIVES VIl.I.MUERTE, DEFENSOR (M.), LAGMAN,GUNIGUNDO, CHlONGR[AN, MARdON, DOMOGhVL“I‘, CAS‘UZ.0, ARNAIZ,COQUILLA, CHIPECO, JALA AND AGYAO AN ACT CREATING AN ADDITIONAL REGIONAL TRIAL COURT BRANCH IN THE CAPITAL TOWN OF PILI, PROVINCE OF CAMARlNES SUR, AMFXlDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION 14, PARAGRAPH (F) OF BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 129, AS AMENDED BY REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7154, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE JUDICIARY REORGANIZATION ACT OF 1980”, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR Be it enacted by the Senafe and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: SECTION I. Sectioii 14, paragraph (0 of Batas Pambansa Blg. 129, otherwise known as “The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980”, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: “SEC. 14. Regional Trial Courts. -- -x x x “(0 (Sixty-five] Srxru-six Regional Trial Judges shall be commissioned for the Fiith Judicial Region, There shall be: ‘(x x x L 1 “[Twenty-seven] TWENTY-EIGHTbranches with seats thereat for the Province of Camarines Sur and the Cities of Naga and Iriga, with seats at Naga City, Libmanan, Tigaon, San Jose, Pili, Iriga City, Bnhi, Nabua, Sipocot, Ragay, and Calabanga; 5 “x x x.” 6 SiX 2. The jurisdiction over cases cognizable by the Regional Trial 7 Court under existing law, emanating from the municipalities of Pili, Bula and 8 Ocampo in the Province of Camarines Sur, shall be lodged in the Regional 9 Trial Court branch created under this Act. 10 SEC. 3. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, in coordinatlon with 11 the Secretary of the Department of Justice, shall immediately include in the 12 Court’s program the operationalization of an additional Regional Trial Court 13 branch for the Province of Camarines Sur to be stationed at the capital town of 14 Pili, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General 15 Appropriations Act. 16 SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, 0 .
