(MHP-NYSE) By Goldman Sachs (55.22, February 12, 2003) We are INITIATING McGraw-Hill coverage with an In-Line rating (neutral coverage). We like the attractive collection of the company's franchise business, its consistent record of profit growth and its attractive financial characteristics (including strong free cash flow and high return on capital). These positives are largely offset by short-term challenging conditions in an important education publishing division and the prospect of slower growth and potentially negative regulatory changes in the GPC division. With the shares currently trading in the top half of their historical valuation range (measured in terms of P/E relative to the S'P500), we believe that the shares may be limited in the trading range on a short-term basis. Based on historical trading models, we believe that the attractive entry point is in the low range of $50s (market P/E 16x for 2003 earnings per share of $3.17). We recommend buying at this level or below. Peter. Appert, CFA Comments? For example, on an email [email protected] error occurred, please try again later. Soon-to-be parents often share their good news with colorful cakes, balloon boxes, and other Pinterest-worthy ideas. One couple even got Brad Paisley to announce the sex of their child and we thought the reveal could never be topped up until now. According to Taste of Country, Deanna and Jeremy DeArmond performed an ultrasound for their third child on the morning of April 7. Later in the day, they were about to open the night for Tim McGraw and Vera Hill's Soul2Soul tour in New Orleans. Waiting parents have decided that they won't look in the envelope with an ultrasound if their favorite power couple country music opens it for them. They made a sign and brought it to the concert, holding it every time one of the singers would look different. He casually looked in our direction and he said, Hold on, let's see what it is, and they called us on stage, Deanna toldTaste country, about Tim noticing their sign. Like something out of the movie, Tim stopped the show to get an envelope from the couple. And Oscar goes to... He was joking. He says: La La Land! Faith then grabbed the paper from her stupid husband and read the results to the crowd. It's a boy! She exclaimed. Congratulations to happy parents! The song is emotional and heartfelt, with lyrics that come from the perspective of someone whose close friend has committed suicide. The text clearly states: Was there anything I could say or do? I had no idea you were masking a restless soul. God only knows what went wrong ... and why you would leave the scene in the middle of a song. Members of Rascal Flatts told CMT that they found it difficult to record the track on their own because they were all affected by a loved one's suicide in some way. McGraw tweeted his praise of Hill's why, saying her voice and song just absolutely break me apart. Visual Metaphors on Album Covers: An Analysis into Graphic Design’s Effectiveness at Conveying Music Genres by Vivian Le A THESIS submitted to Oregon State University Honors College in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Honors Baccalaureate of Science in Accounting and Business Information Systems (Honors Scholar) Presented May 29, 2020 Commencement June 2020 AN ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS OF Vivian Le for the degree of Honors Baccalaureate of Science in Accounting and Business Information Systems presented on May 29, 2020. Title: Visual Metaphors on Album Covers: An Analysis into Graphic Design’s Effectiveness at Conveying Music Genres. Abstract approved:_____________________________________________________ Ryann Reynolds-McIlnay The rise of digital streaming has largely impacted the way the average listener consumes music. Consequentially, while the role of album art has evolved to meet the changes in music technology, it is hard to measure the effect of digital streaming on modern album art. This research seeks to determine whether or not graphic design still plays a role in marketing information about the music, such as its genre, to the consumer. It does so through two studies: 1. A computer visual analysis that measures color dominance of an image, and 2. A mixed-design lab experiment with volunteer participants who attempt to assess the genre of a given album. Findings from the first study show that color scheme models created from album samples cannot be used to predict the genre of an album. Further findings from the second theory show that consumers pay a significant amount of attention to album covers, enough to be able to correctly assess the genre of an album most of the time.

  • Friday Night Lights”) and Oscar® Winner Kathy Bates (“Misery”) Star in Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros
Sandra Bullock (“The Proposal”), Tim McGraw (“Friday Night Lights”) and Oscar® winner Kathy Bates (“Misery”) star in Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Blind Side,” which depicts the remarkable true story of All-American football star Michael Oher. Teenager Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock). Learning that the young man is one of her daughter’s classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael—wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter—come out of the cold. Without a moment’s hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. And as the family helps Michael fulfill his potential, both on and off the football field, Michael’s presence in the Tuohys’ lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. “The Blind Side” is directed by John Lee Hancock (“The Rookie”), who also wrote the screenplay based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis. Gil Netter, Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson produced the film with Molly Smith, Erwin Stoff and Timothy M. Bourne serving as executive producers. Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw star as Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, and Kathy Bates stars as Michael Oher’s dedicated tutor, Miss Sue.
