This year has been eventful in that during its course the Arthur —

The most important accessio ns of the year were Obtained during f . o o o a trip to Bermuda in January Over fifty small b xes f ssils , o o b mainly land f rms , and ver fifty ottles of soil samples were collected . In additio n to the land fo ssils there are numerous wind- blown

T o three at Hamilto n the Curator believes . w distinct soils were found at other places . These soils record interglacial episodes of

Dr . Clark has identified the fo ssils and finds that altho ugh they are much the same in the middle and upper soils , the middle soil h a o o s several forms not found in the upper . The l west s il has few o fossils and in most cases none . He has proved that no r cks abo ve sea level in Bermuda are o lder than the Pleisto cene . The Foram inifera have not been identified and Professor Jeffrey h as no t reported on the wood .
